Will like to testify of God's goodness to my hb and I.

1. We have cleared our renovation loan after 2 years of belt-tightening. Thank God that that payments have all been cleared, and the excess cash that we now have cen be channelled into the wedding and other outstanding debts.

2. I received an early confirmation from my manager for my work in TOUCH Silent Club.

I was initially worried because I was not performing as well as I ought to be recently, with all the planning to do for the wedding and family issues. But praise God that He allowed me to stay on to prove myself and be a teatimony for Him.

If you are looking for a church that seats about 300 people in the East, you can check out Living Hope Methodist Church at 20 Tampines Street 33. New building (moved into it in Dec 2004) with big Atrium for reception and impressive staircase facing main road for photos.

There's also Changi Chapel (open air chapel) at the Changi Museum in Upper Changi Road North. Best to have service after 4pm when it isnt too hot. Only problem is if it rains. Unusual seating- ie benches serve as pews.

Changi Baptist Church has a nice sanctuary,'warm feel' with the wooden planks and stained glass.

Salvation Army Changi Corps has a theatre like chapel. Seats are very comfortable. Not sure if they rent it out for weddings but you can try.

coco: AMK Methodist is not a bad choice too.. convenient location, wooden pews and stained glass, car park lots in the church compound arent enough but theres a HDB car park very nearby... and i dont think its too ex also. I dont know the price though (I member i also dont know the price i paying...) I sent you my floral link before right? you can get a good idea of the church layout from there..

i'm so tired after cleaning my new house since thursday!!

dun worry lah....all you need to do first is to go thru the Marriage Preparation Class..is a MUST.

Then be interviewed by pastor then they will pass you a list of to do things.mine is Melvin so i have to memorise the vows.

for the pastor, we choose lor.

for the interview, is 2 months before the church rehesal. If you unsure who is your Pastor doing your wedding, you can call church and ask, the ppl will help. Your Wedding still some months away so no worry. Church will not forget you.

BTW your service is a year after mine. Mine is 18th Mar 2006. What time your service?

Well as for me I think I am more clueless! Like flowers deco alone... ask me to discuss with the earlier timeslot couple...but I also dunno the colours given. I'd prolly have to ask the other couple. Coz I'm not a member of the church nor do I attend it regularly... I've got my own church except the pastors aren't registered to solemnise us so the pastor at Wesley is helping. So Lingi dun you worry... and the thing is my MPC ends JUZ one week before my church wedding. Ha... so I reckon I'll have to do whatever interviews you're talking about together. My church wedding's dec 2006.

mona...11am....so you are the first to use the church lor.

Lingi...have add you liao in msn. melvin's way of doing will be a short and sweet one. After your interview with him you will need to do things liao..like
-draft copy of your church bulletin for his approval,
-songs for the March in and out,
-color of flowers you want (may have to discuss with other couple if you are not the onli one using the church that day),
-your church caterer contact,
-pew deco are u using the church deco (which is free - Plastic Flowers) or getting ur own florist
-consider if you want to have your cartering in the foyer; need tentage
i think he will ask you contact his sec. for the above

also he will ask you do some homework ($ management)...hey i think may have another interview cos he will chk if you have done your homework.

Most Impt, have you Register with ROM? You need to take the Cert from ROM if you doing solmenisation in Church.

One more thing...he will tell u " make sure your gown is not too long cos the red carpet is very unfriendly to bride"......

the red carpet will cause the gown to roll in. This then may cause you to step onto the gown and fall.

tried..and have to kick the gown as i walk own with my dad....hahaha

BTW, I have replied to your mail and mi also used Mum's Kitchen for Church Recept. Not too Bad.

Also if you want AD Photographer, I can reco mine to you. He is also from Wesley and he is of great help in my wedding cos he took many couple wedding in Wesley and he guide me alot in my wedding planing. Most Impt he knows Pastor Melvin Rules and Regulation eg. no photo taking in ritual....heehee....

i think most older churches with red carpet will be a hazard to brides.... when they crumple up and are not pulled properly, brides may trip on the carpet..

But for Wesley Case, the Red Carpet is those thick and heavy ones though it will not crumple, it will just "grip" the gown (esp can can material and cos the Bride not able to walk Properly.

That is why my Pastor always warn and warn and always ask the brides to learn how to kick and walk during the March in....hahaha

Talking about that, I have to pull up my gown a bit just to walk better....

oh man...
amk one doesnt not grip, but at one certain spot, that part always crumpled, cannot seem to straighten it.. but thank GOd its only one spot... so i will be sure to watch out for that when its my turn..

Thks alot for your advise and help. Rev Melvin also warn me b4 of the red carpet, and he also want me to kick and walk during march-in. Oh no!! I togt he was juz joking.... How to kick and walk at the same time???!! Paiseh to ask, will it look comical and robotic if walk tis way?

May i know any 'must have dishes' from Mum's kitchen? I have not confirm any caterer yet. still sourcing for 'good and cheap' one. Any recommendation pls? What will be the reasonable price for tea reception?
