Hey there,
This is meant for the DIY bride who's on a budget to have their cheongsam made &
dont mind the hassle of travelling.
Larkain seamstress provide neat workmanship.
I did my 3/4 cheongsam in Larkain,JB, the old JB bus interchange.
If you intend to do in JB, it's best if u shop for ur own fabric in Arab Street (haggle for the price)
& must have an idea on what you want.
I personally like Princess Fabric @ Arab Street for their service.
Make sure you know what kind of lace design is suitable for the cheongsam trail or which one looks
good on your fabric.
You can take bus 170.it stops @ larkain. All the seamstress are on the 2nd floor.
Brocade silk from shanghai was given to me by a cousin for my birthday
Last yr, Lina from V16 - larkain did a nice job for a simple cheongsam @ RM50
She came up with the design & added matching cheongsam buttons to match the cheongsam fabric.

Just bought red satin & black lace with beadings to make a trail behind my cheongsam.
I'll be going to Aunty Salley this weekend to modify my 3/4 cheongsam to be a tea dress.
Will be doing 6 of my bridesmaid modern cheongsam inspired dresses too @RM60 each.
I'll be providing the design & fabric (satin & lace) & aunt salley will be adding other accesories
on the jie-mei(s) dresses.
.
My ma recommends Aunty Salley as she's gd with patch work & create nice lace kebaya for her.
i like her workmanship too & she provides nice ideas.
Best if u can show her pictures, they gd at copying.
I'll be getting Aunty Salley to modify the cheongsam back & cut a V-Shape
before patching with lace instead.
Will be doing modifications for the cap-sleeves & chest area to be replaced with lace too.
Cant wait to share the pics when it's ready =D
