Changi Cottage" ROM - need help!

I am contemplating to hold my ROM at Changi Cottage, which is under Aloha Resorts. I read under their terms and conditions that wedding-related events are not allowed anywhere at their premises. However, I've seen many blogs and pictures of couples holding the solemnisation there.

would appreciate any inputs on this matter, especially from couples who have held their solemnisation there. Any problems regarding the management there? Am i allowed to bring in 3rd-party caterers as well?

hi judy, from what i understand, they do make ppl pay fines for holding weddings at the location. and they may take the person who booked the place to task if the person is a public servant. so probably wanna make it a small function if u really wanna hold it there.

like not have tentage in the open area etc... have brought in caterers for my family functions at the chalet, so it's fine. those pictures that u saw are probably b4 they stopped catering for weddings. or the couple paid a pretty handsome sum of fine.

yeah.. i went around asking and found one friend who recently held theirs at CC. turns out they got 'caught' and was fined a few thousands.. i cannot take the risk so have decided not to do it there. my guest list is about 100+ people.. not safe.. haha..

Hi Judy, are you sure they disallow it? I saw someone who had their ROM done at CC. I don't know the person but I saw the decor done by a florist. But it appeared to be a small wedding of less than 80 pax. But they had decorations on the lawn area. Why don't you call up and ask the management?

i did my research too and saw many couples who've done theirs there. however i did check with the management and their response is they dont allow it. probably most of the time small scale events they close on eye or never realise.. my friend had a massive scale wedding there.. including bands, wedding dinner, marquee tents, loud music. thats why the got fined so much.

hi judy,
had my ROM at aloha changi in year 2008. They told us that we are not suppose to have any solemnisation there, but we did not really care. mine was as fairypoint chalet, so we had it on the second floor. my advise to u is not to have it on the forst floor as there is always people going there to check. mine was okay throughout

so yours should be fine
