It depends which room you're assigned to. I was sharing the room with 3 others. Some others were 2 to a room.

The updated price is $190 per couple. The cheque should be $100. The balance will be collected at the end of the weekend, so do bring along ur cheque books! =)

Hi jass,

I'll say ASAP. Our AD is all the way in 09 but we have already completed the EE. It's basically exposing you to topics that couples should think about before they get married, to talk about them, and for couples to open up to each other. Some couples might have already thought and talked about these topics, some might not.

Hi Mabeleve,

EE is usually booked way ahead of time, so it's not surprising tt the next date is in aug. We booked in Aug 2006 for Jan 2007!

Anyway, just my 2 cents worth, there's actually no pt in getting other couples to register with you, cos in the end, you'll be requested to put ur attention on ur partner and hardly ever socialise wif other couples except during meal times.

Rather, i feel tt it's best to decide on a date when both you and ur significant other can actually afford to take a weekend off and focus on your relationship in order to make the weekend as fruitful as possible.

I totally agree with Kristen. It's very important to go there mentally prepared to let go of everything and just focus on the weekend. It was a very nice weekend for the both of us.

For one thing, it was the first time we had a whole weekend to ourselves for a long time. Haha.

We booked in Aug and almost forgot abt the weekend until December as it was such a long time. And when we went for the weekend, we forgot when was it that we actually booked.

Just went for EE over the weekend past and i must comment that for those that are thinking of whtether to go for EE, should really do so, cos it will really force you to focus on the potential problems and also reaffirm the commitment to make the marriage work.
Not to mention it gives a taste of having to see your FH over and over again. (if you cannot stand your FH for 46hrs, what chance do you have with 46 weeks/yrs

I attended my EE session almost two years ago in 2005. It's still fresh in my memory. I have to say it's probably one of the best things we've done as a couple prior to marriage. All that 'paktor-ing' is good, but to actually sit down and collect your thoughts properly and write things down, on a range of very important issues really brings things into perspective. None of the issues was new to us, but it took on such a different light when actually reading my then-FH's thoughts.

I can see why it can seem quite daunting for non-Catholics, and infant baptism was probably the thorniest issue among the inter-faith couples in our group, but really, the atmosphere was really open, and the facilitators were very hospitable, no question being taken lightly or dismissed. It certainly wasn't a weekend used to 'convert', but to prepare the couples for marriage, and to explain the Catholic position on various issues (afterall, at least 50% of the couple was Catholic!). Well recommended.

Hi, just wanna ask if we need to share with other couples? or is it all private discussions between each couple? lastly, are there any games? =)

There's no activities with other couples except at the beginning when u intro urself and during the mass and the feedback session right at the end. In fact, when u apply, they emphasize tt this is NOT a weekend to socialise wif others.

Oh yes David, I can't find ppke for you for your projects. Most have either started using or they totally do not use IB at all.

Precisely why I'm so desperate now. Haha. I had to go out to the public to get surveys, and even then, I only got a handful. Far from the target of 150 my lecturer wanted. Thanks anyway.

Sure, why not? U shouldn't be wearing hot pants though! BTW, it's pretty cold, so you might wanna bring along a jacket.

Erm, this might sound odd. But my bf is a smoker. And there is no smoking in the premises. He won't be able to tahan without smoking. Would he be able to walk OUT to smoke?

Hi Femme,

I just attend my EE on 15 jan 2008.

Yes.. yr bf can smoke during the breaks time...

It is very useful to attend this course as you can know your partner better. Get more time to spend together.

Hi, I have completed the EE over the weedend. I MUST say, it's really worth attending and I'm blessed by GOD to bring me to such a fulfilling and enriching program (I'm a non-Catholic). It is really valuable and touching to hear the presenters speak out from their hearts and their experiences. It is a good engaging experience with your partner. I also enjoyed Father Vaz's sessions as he is super humourous. It's a MUST-attend for all couples!
