Hi everyone!

I am new to this thread... Hope to exchange information with all of you.

I have been looking out for wedding/ unity candles for church wedding. Some places that I've been are selling at rather costly prices (around $100). I only managed to find someone making these at Yahoo Singapore selling at reasonable price, yet elegant looking. Anyone knows where to buy unity candles at reasonable prices?

In case you are interested in the source, type "Unity Candles" under Auction Search.

Thanks for sharing!

hi gals, my friend asked me this qn, and i have no idea how to answer her...

She said she's pregnant and whether she could attend my church wedding, and my relatives were ok with it. Initially i tot it's ok? But since she asked, maybe there's something that i dunno?

Wat's your knowledge or opinion on this? Thx!

hi cloudz, in my opinion, I think there's no problem at all! What tradition says about pregnant women is that they can't be your bridesmaids, that's all I think. Anyway, since we're catholics, we shouldn't really be bothered about these things right? Especially if she's a good friend

Hi Cloudz,

The pregnant thing is something to do with "chong xi". Apparently according to chinese customs, cannot have too many happy things happening together. Weird hor? Anyway, if you, your husband and all your parents are not bothered with it, then there's nothing wrong. That's my humble opinion la.

hi Cloudz7,
i see no reason why your pregnant friend cannot attend your wedding. i think people might suggest that people who just gave brith recently should not attend since there can be a clash. anyway, it's a happy event so i think it will be good if she can be there! =)
just my 2 cents worth.

I was just browsing and noticed that there is a couple of "St Teresa" + Fr Richards combos. I got married in a mass celebrated by Fr Richards at St Teresa's too. I was initially a bit worried because Fr Richards can be quite brusque at first but in the end, I LOVED his homily. It was so true and echoed what I really believed about a marriage.

Congrats to all.

hi haze,

it would be best if you can arrange for your choir to be there, esp to sing (if they're singing) for your walk-in. readers can also familiarise themselves with reading from the podium and knowing exactly what to say.

Hello all...

19 days to go and I m still doing planning.. hurhur.
Doing up my ang pao list now and was wondering if anyone can share with me on the appropriate amounts for:
1. The priest
2. Alter servers
3. Choir... need to give any additional AP apart from their fees?

Thanks! :p

If I'm not wrong, we were only given half an hour for rehearsal and sound system won't be switched on? then how is our choir, which is not from St Anne, practise? And only one time slot available for each sat and sun only.
Anyone had their wedding done in Church of St. Anne could advise? Maybe I was given wrong instruction.

Hi Isabel,

I will be holding my wedding in St Anne next month. It is true that the there is only one tme slot available for each Sat and sunday.
I engaged the choir from St anne itself and I did check with the choir. Hans mentioned that a rehersal for the choir is not necessary but send your choir all the songs that you would like them to sing and the oreder of the mass itself.
What they worry is mainly if you have something special planned and they do not have the nmusic score.
As for practising, I find the most important is to get the march in right (the timing). So you may want to just practice the march in
Hope this helps

Dear Beanie, Dear Isabel

I'll be getting married in St Anne's too, in Dec 07.

Isabel - Yes, you can only switch on the equipment and computer half hour prior to the start of mass.

BTW, anyone is doing an English + Chinese Wedding Mass? I need some guidance on the slides. Thanks!!

Hi all, may I know how much does it cost to print 100pcs of mass booklets? I was quoted $450-$500. Is it reasonable? Thanks for advice.
