Cloudz7: I think you have to book the caterer soonest, I was told that there's numbers of wedding October (after 7 lunar month).

Haze: I went to their website and saw the normal catering menu which you only need to order min 30 persons. Maybe you can visit their website at www.rasel.com.sg You can also call elsie at 67777183 she should be able to help you.

Dec still kaisu, I book my catering some other stuff month ago u know. At least ease my mind than have time to do plan for other stuff. My FH rather I finish every thing soon than can rest go for facial or spa to relax than stress to rush out nearer to wedding date. Bride too stress not beautiful skin very dry.

Can I ask if anyone or your FH is living in the new house yet? Any issue about sleeping on the new bed? MY FMIL say cannot touch the bed leh... my BF moving into the house b4 the wedding and might have to sleep on sofa. :S

i heard abt that too...the bed thingy. So my HB & I are going to sleep on mattresses 1st when we move to our new place next week, till after our AD then can sleep on the bed.

but was wondering if it's a superstitious thing.

Ladies,

My mum more superstitous lor! she say we can only move into our new house after wedding. Meanwhile if we really need to spend a night for packing, both of us got to sleep in the living room. *sign*

Heard from my shifu.
It okay to sleep on the bed.
But after u place those stuff on ur bed, u not allow to sleep until ur AD.
Even heard tat after placing, ur room must not let anyone enter. Only both of u.

Not sure leh. Those old ppl are very superstitous. It been bought down before we born, maybe just like to make more thing on wedding day loh. Haha! Maybe parents might felt wat if relative asking, they will lost face. Follow watever they want, just to make them happy.

Having to "install" the mattress and not being able to sleep on it is bad enough. I better not have any nonsense on my bed when I see it on 1st August after work!

Think the bed issue is called 'an chuang'. Superstition is that this'ceremony' will help in fertility or something. :S Just think its kinda silly with a bed in the room then cannot sleep on it. And my BF dun wan to buy a sofa bed either just to use a while.
As I only get to move in after our wedding, which is 2 months away, (my mom is vy strict and me staying over b4 wedding is a big no-no *sigh*)if he dun sleep on the bed then he'll have to sleep on the sofa, which i think is ok for sitting, but not good support for sleeping on.
I had thought since out both families are catholic we could do away with these kinda practices...

I'm acting out again... but I really can't stand it when I have to agree to doing things that go against logic. But what to do.. just do for the sake of getting along lor. Cos I'm the catholic side, he's the non-catholic side...

Am a cathoilc, but still we need to practise this kind of silly traditions. Lucky i have a great parents didn't believe in those silly tradition. Only my FH and his parent that is "pantang".
My FH a non catholic, for his sake i have to give in to it.

Actually heard from that shifu, we can contince to sleep at our bed. Only until when "an chuang" before AD. That no. Nobody can enter into the room after "an chuang", only the bride and groom.

In fact there even more tradition i need to follow. Go out my home at a timing, cannot attend wedding tat close date in front us..bth bth bth! On AD still need a boy to jump ard our bed. Tink of that am so heartpain, Bed so expensive!
I so angry and asked the shifu. If we dun practise this kind of tradition, wat will happen? He can't give me any answer. Gosh.. felt so silly.

My AD is on 22Dec. I have a fren whom a catholic, her church ceremony at 8Dec. I told my FH, u can dun follow me to her church ceremony but i will sure go. Am a CATHOILC and we dun believe in those nonsense.

Ladies,
Wat i felt is, just follow watever they want us to do. Believe those are just letting relatives see see and gossip. If that can make parents happy, just follow loh. No harm also, just very mafan loh. =D

Haha.. in the end my BF moved in on Saturday and slept on the bed anyway. His Mom couldn't do anything about it. HAhaha.. I told her we r Catholics, dun have to follow all these traditional 'rules' so closely mah. Lucky my BF's dad agree with me.

BF's mom get her advice from so many different aunties until sometimes she also a bit blur, duno which auntie's advice to take. :S Aiyoh....
