Bridesmaid ~ must she be single?

hey! a friend of mine is getting married in oct. she is not having any bridesmaids/jie meis and her hubby is not having brothers too.

actually, your wedding is your day! just do what you like and be comfortable with it! that's most important.

JMS/XDs are supposed to help you coordinate and manage your big day for you so you could relax. there is no superstition surrounding it. at least, not that i believe.

I'm in the same plight too. My best friend whom I always thought since I was young, she is SURE gonna be my one and only bridesmaid.. is now not going to attend my wedding, and have issues with me attending her wedding too. Because of these same pantang reasons. So sad.

Right from the start of my wedding planning, it coincidentally falls 2 months before hers.. till now after much changes, I might be holding 1 month after hers. Instead of congratulating me, she only kept asking me why does it have to be next year, why don't I postpone it to 2012. Sigh..

i actually also have a very close friend going to marry on the same month as me.. so we ended up cannot attend each other weddings.. but we both will give our blessing to each other as well..

i think for the bridesmaid can be married or single.. i have friends whom married also be jiemeis.. so i believe that it should be okay de..
