Banquet or no banquet, that is the question

Hi everyone. I've just gotten engaged. The big day with HTB is set to be somewhere in Q4 2018 or Q1 2019. We're definitely going ahead with the church wedding as we're both Catholics. However, since most probably we're already having the lunch buffet-ish reception at the church wedding, I'm wondering about the banquet. If we still do go ahead with the banquet, I've done a rough headcount, to be around maximum 80 pax attendance, which at most 8 tables. Anyone of you know what the budget range for a banquet of this size is like? A senior has advised me to use the Ban Heng venues, saying that it is affordable with good food for small sizes. Any other advice?

Hi @Clare Tan Wenhui,

Congrats babe!! I think first of all you have to get specific date that you want for your actual day then from there ask yourself what's the Budget that you and your HTB have agreed on. Then is easier to work it out. There are many venues that are hosting for small scale wedding but you have to know the budget first so that you won't over commit it.

That's my thoughts.

Hope it helps. :)

Ban Heng Venues don't allow such a small table size. Mine is 12 and they don't accept. You might wanna consider Yan restaurant, Pan Pacific Orchard, Fullerton straits room.

Thanks everyone. Am still looking into how to resolve the situation and it's become even more complex since now I realised there's relatives coming in from overseas. My HTB's mother's family members from the Malaysia side, my HTB's father's family members from Australia, and my own family in SG. Think best I leave my parents to trash things out with my future in-laws.
