For anyone visting Bali. I have the perfect driver who will take you anywhere on the island. His name is Dewa Parwita , pronounced "D war". He is a kind, considerate and safe driver. He can do escorted or your own customized tours. We were in Bali last week and he gave us the tour of our lives for a week. We have promised to return and use him for a longer period of time. All that I ask is for people who are looking for the "real people" Bali and want to be around a good man, book him. If you know anything about the Balinese they are the most unassuming and kindest people who do not like or make trouble. I mention this because a before we arrived Dewa was driving a friend ( the person who actually recommended we hire him)

dewa aslo offered very reasonable price full day US$.35/8 hours inclusive. gasoline, driver, a car and Parking fee. we understood the gas increased alots since last year.

dewa Email ; [email protected]

Dewa's web www.baliexploretours.com

Mobile +62 81 239 70 779

Enjoy It!

hi jennife,

if u hv booked with Dewa for day tour, u may want to try eating seafood dinner at Jimbaran beach(after the tour)..the sunset there is spectacular. Dewa brought us to tis restaurant called Sharkey's, their seafood is fresh n cheap

Hi

Im back frm Bali! Had fun there but kinda of hot and was very tanned nw

To be frank, me n my hubby find that Quick Silver cruise is a waste of $ if u r nt a water sports pax

I felt kinda of kanna cheated. Haha!!!

Anyway, if any1 of u consider in gg to Bali, my advise is do compare the transport and food prices b4 u commit if nt u will find urself ended paying a lot of other expenses thru credit card

:>

Some updates on Bali during my recent trip (28/09 - 01/10)

Had quite a bad experience at Uma Sapna this time round

We had requested for a late check out on our last day when we booked the villa and was asked to confirm if the villa is available for late check out 1 wk prior to our arrival in Bali

I snt an email to Uma Sapna 2 wks b4 my arrival was rec'v an replied saying they confirm my villa. 2nd day when i was there, i asked to pay earlier cos do nt wish to hold on to the $ for fear i will spend it for my shopping n was told my villa is nt available. I was damn pissed n ques the staff y since they reverted with a confirmation

After sum argument, the staff decided to shift us to their new villa till our check out timing since our current villa is nt available after 2pm on 01/10. we were fine but damn pissed when uma sapna sd "it's okay if u dont wan to pay for the late check out"

wtf??? nt that i cant afford to pay but y shld i since ive already cfm my late check out via email 2 wks prior to my arrival?

anyway, was given d new villa rm during my last day but even b4 the check out timing for our villa, the staff already started to clean up our rm. When we shifted our stuff over to the new villa, it was a mess cos the previous guests juz check out. We requested for some basic clean up since we leaving in a couple of hrs, was told okay but did nt see anyone came to clean up

was damn damn damn angry when i walked pass the main pool and was asked again by the staff, "what time r u leaving har? we need to clean up"

wtf again...

btw, do u kw tat the heater in uma sapna cant last more than 0.5 hrs. so if u r a gal n u usually take ard 0.5 hrs to shower, tink u might wan to consider staying there

was showering halfway n the water turn cold. was told it takes another 0.5 hrs for the heater to work

the swimming pool in our villa apparently was nt being clean up b4 we chk in cos we saw the surface of the pool water was very oily

haiz, anyway tis trip wif uma sapna is a failure

we even saw a jap couple left stranded after they were told they ve no rm to stay in since uma sapna did nt received their booking thou internet

hw pathetic! imagine u pay for ur flight all the way n was told no rm to stay n its already late in the nite ard 10+

i guess if uma sapna cld nt take in their huge reservation, they shld consider employing more staff or upgrade their system

will nt stay there again in my future trips

Actually i might wan to consider Anantara for my next trip

Bali seem to ve a lot of new villa coming up soon so u might wan to goggle search

Hi everybody!

I'm planning to go Bali next year for my honeymoon. Please advise if 4 days 3 nites is enough? Can anyone suggest where are the must go places in Bali? Me & my HTB prefer sightseeing & adventure/water sports. Not really into watching making of handicraft & stuff.

Do you all think that it's advisable to go on day tour during honeymoon or juz rest & relax in da villa since u paid so much for it?

This place is fabulous, The pick ups and drop offs at the hotel went smoothly, the staff the whole time were more friendly and helpful than you could possibly imagine. The villa was great, made especially more so by the private pool. The interior of the living area of the room was good, not wow factor but acceptable however the bathroom facilities great and the outside living space brilliant. The private pool was just amazing and an absolute must if you choose to stay at Uma Sapna. Darma (hotel excusrsions driver) took us out for a day trip and was a really lovely man and took us to some fabulous places with great driving skills, we had a wonderful day. One slighly negative comment was the lady who worked both on spa reception and in the spa didnt always look particularly happy about life or dealing with our requests - the massages however were great and very reasonably priced, either in the spa or in your room. Breakfast plentiful and tasty and alwyas bang on time. Small onsite bar would have been nice.

Uma Sapna exceeded all my expectations. Having selected these villas to celebrate my 50th birthday and to also de-stress, I was extremely pleased with the standard of facilities, service of the staff. Situated in a perfect location, close to Seminyak Eat Street, the big decision each day was which fantastic restaurant to have dinner in. We hired a 2 BR villa with private pool, it had a great living area and the bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. It was the other little things that counted as well - eg; every evening the staff would come around to turn down beds and light Mosquito coils in the open air lounge. The on-site massage was quite good value compared to what was available on the street, not the cheapest but if you feel like staying in for the day, very convenient. I plan to go again next year.
