Hi, Tasmania is a very nice place to go. You would love it, quiet and relaxing.
Tassie are friendly people.
Can self-drive over there and it is not enough for even 2 weeks. The lake is very scenic.

My friend went there in about April or May I can't remember, but she tells me that it is very nice, she let me see her photos. She mentioned she will go again because 2 weeks is not enough for her. You have to check out weather condition for August on internet.
Another one of my friend say Sydney is also nice.

Dear Biskut Cokelat,

You may want to consider travelling the Great Ocean Road which is just 3 hours drive away from Melboune City. Small towns dotted along the coastal and the drive is very scenic.

Recently, I went to Sydney and drive outskirt to Wollongong. It is a very laid back kind of place with a nice harbour and beautiful beach.

If its end of August, its going to be the end of their summer. Weather I guess will still be warm.

Dear Biskut,

tried to edit what I posted but too late.
End of August in Australia is winter and not summer. I am sorry, I just replied another post on europe thus my mind is still in that zone.

June to August is winter in Australia. If you are going in Aug, it will be cold.

If anyone would like to go to australia for holiday especially Sydney, there are a few places that you can visit. Take the train from the city to Kiama, about 2 hours journey but along the way you can see beautiful scenery. So you actually dont get bored in the train.Once arrive, you can walk around the town cause its a small town actually but the view and the scenery there is unbelievable and very beautiful. You can see the Kiama Blowhole its the town major tourist attraction.Bondi beach is a must to visit too.

You should go for the Philip Island tour too! I booked it when we went Melbourne for holiday last Dec, and both me and my fiancé enjoyed it a lot! We booked with Go West Tours.. U can consider, their day trip includes chocolate factory, wine tasting and of cos, the highlight would be penguin watching.

Here's their website: http://www.gowest.com.au/index.php
