Hi all,

Juz to let you know about a new place to hold your wedding dinner. I went to Arena Country Club last weekend. All the F&B outlets there are run by Tunglok Group. Speciality being their seafood, very much like seafood gallery at East Coast.

Arena CC has a nice pillarless ballroom and the prices of the weekend and weekday dinner is very attractive. They even provide free shuttle service from Boon LAy MRT for dinner guests.

I actually collected a brochure but left it at home. If anyone is interested, I can fill in more details.

Just wondering how much does it cost per table for the weekend for a mid range menu and does it come with free flow of beer? What other freebies does it come with?

I actually tried surfing tunglok's website but i guess they have not added arena country club in.

Weekend range from 468-638 per table of 10

Weekday 448- 618

One nite stay at deluxe club suite
food tasting for 6
free flow of soft drinks and tea
wedding cake dummy
champagne fountain
scroll for signature
parking and shuttle service
no corkage for duty free liquor, wine corkage 15 dollars per bottle'
chocolates
invites
beer 20 litres 300 dollars
30 litres 450 dollars
for the most expensive package, they throw in 12 hrs use of rolls royce with chauffuer and deco OR free flow of beer for 4 hrs.

You might want to go to their wedding show on 23rd Sep at Orchard Parade Hotel. It is organised by Tung Lok's East meets West restaurant Club Chinois and I think you might have some specials on that day even for other Tung Lok restaurants.

Maybe you can call Club Chinois for the tickets.

err.. poolside wedding? I really think its not possible. There are just SO MANY kids in jurong area and many of their parents buy membership at that club. SO you can imagine how crowded the pool would be. Anyway, the poolside area not big and not romantic either . still think the best place to do pool side wedding is either hyatt or conrad or 4 seasons

Just to keep all of you informed that a factory is located next to Arena country club if you intend to hold your wedding at the Ballroom. Really spoils the image of a country club. It is located in the vicnity of factories.Even along the journey to Arena Country club from Boon Lay MRT, factories are along the way. Very woo-loo place.

This is an impt point to note for all brides planning to choose Arena.

I am considering to hold my wedding banquet in the ballroom...

Could anyone please comment on the food and service??

Noted a minus point, that is, there is no lift to the ballroom on the 2nd level so might be very inconvenient for the elderly.....

Hi serrich,

Since the food is by Tung Lok, I think you can't go far wrong. I had my ROM and banquet at two different Tung Lok restaurants and my guests enjoyed the food at both places.

I had my wedding dinner thrown at Arena Country Club. Although it was quite far out from central area but i believe the utmost importance is the service and food. Singapore is not too big and travelling there doesnt really make an issue. However, suggest to have it during a saturday so that guests wont find a "torture" and i think this applies even if you have dinner at central?
Just like to give my comments on Tunglok Arena. The ballroom is excellent, environment and setting. Food is fantastic and service by Mr Eric Leong is marvellous. He is flexible and accomodating. Look for him!

Hi zan ong, i also just had my wedding at Arena Country Club last month, yah i agree with u that Mr Eric leong service is very gd, he is really very flexible and capable....i never regret to choose that place. The food there is also very nice, i have alot of gd comments....

i'm looking to sell my arena country club membership because i've shifted to the east of singapore after marriage and am hence unlikely to frequent the club going forward. rack rate of the membership if you get from the club is S$8800. but i'm willing to let it go at much less if anyone's interested. you can email me at [email protected] if you are interested. thanks

I attend the wedding there before. It is holding at the ballroom. Nice food,ambience also not bad. Just tat the projecter is very far away from the seat and cannot actually see.

I've just attended one too...Ballroom is pillarless & quite big. Only have one projector and its at the stage cos i cant see much. Sound system got abit of problem dat day so we ended up not being to hear wat the MC is saying for the whole nite. Attendance was not v good as its abit far & its on a Sunday. Food is nice!!!! But i find the portions abit little...dun feel full at the end of it. But the yam paste is good, hehe...Spring rolls were nice & hot *thumbs up* Service was prompt...

Food is not bad but quite far off, esp for those who dun frequent Jurong area. Located opp the Safti military camp along Benoi Road.
