Anyone out there being hurt or betrayed by friends?

Just to share my aunt grievance. She recommended her friend to work in my uncle's company and to her dismay and shocked, she found out that they are having an affair. She is a single lady and have since left the company after the affair started. My aunt have been trying to contact her and have sent her many textes but she's avoiding.My goody uncle claimed that it was just a fling and wanted my aunt to forgive him. My aunt is feeling very insecure and wonder if she's been kept my uncle.I'm at a loss of words to advise her as I was in her shoes before and am struggling to move on and do not wished to be reminded.Any advice? The topic read "anyone there being hurt or betrayed by friends" - yes i have been betrayed by friends...
U trust them so much, yet they just backstab and blabber mouthed behind...You give them a chance, thinking that they did it unintentionally, but they provoked you for the 2nd and 3rd time...

Chelsea, i think ur uncle is also at fault... no one can force a cow to drink, if cow don wan to drink... think ur auntie can only try to get over it and move on... either a divorce or forgive him..

We do agree that my uncle is at fault. My aunt is hurt as she has so much trust in them, she's from a humble family background who cares so much about her well being.Someone who's afraid of gossip too and that's the reason she left the company.

My aunt is trying to get over it and move on as divorce is definitely not on her list. Guess it takes time as the trust was broken....

yup, i guess it takes a long time to bond the trust again... think at the moment if divorce is not on her list, maybe u can just give her ur listening ears at this time.. give her encouragement and supports..there is nothing much u can do for her also...
