hi, would like to revive this thread a bit. my husband n i already efile for 25 Feb 07. but as we couldn't book the venue, we would like to postpone the ROM. does anyone here knows what is the procedure like? do we have to go down ROM to talk to them? the thing is we still don't know which date we want to postpone to. so as to say, we r cancelling the ROM on 25 Feb 07.

I think u can check if can change the date of ROM. The info should be on ROM website. there are some things which can change (will have to pay some $ for amending) or you may have to re-efile totally. You will need to provide the actual date in place of the e-filing.
You can't choose a date more than 3 months from now....

When we do e-filing, we are required to fill in venue. Actual phase was to fill in full address of venue. So am i supposed to key in the full postal address of the hotel where im holding my ROM? or just the name of the hotel? will this be reflected in the ROM cert? I heard that the cert will reflect the venue where the ROM is held is that so?
i really dowan my ROM cert to reflect "xxx tanjong pagar rd singapore xxxxxx" -_-''

Hi Sherene, I went back to check my ROM cert. Luvz and Midas are correct. The address is as what I entered. It was in full. The hotel's address was short so I thought it wasn't the entire address. As I spoke with my hb about it last evening, he reminded me the full address would be reflected and that was the reason that we chose our hotel carefully.. we chose a hotel with a short and nice address.

i was in such a hurry that i happily only put down the postal address. didnt even put in the hotel name..
im holding mine at amara hotel. so would it be ok to just put "Amara Hotel Poolside Garden"? or do i actually have to put "Amara Hotel xxx tanjong pagar rd singapore xxxxxx" ??

Hi Sherene, I think you have to put it as Amara Hotel xxx tanjong pagar rd singapore xxxxx". ROM website said to describe the place with certainty. nothing is more certain that having postal code and full address. Or maybe you can put "Amara Hotel Poolside Garden, xxx [road name] plus postal district).

oh. so lets say. i book my venue and engage my jp..then efile 3 mths before? the date i want to get is a very hot date.. so im quite worried that we cant get the date.. we want to hold our ROM at a hotel.. just worried that after we book the venue, the date is not avaliable..
