Anyone been to Taipei b4?

for taipei, i usually pick royal castle hotel (http://www.wego.com.sg/hotels/taiwan/taipei/royal-castle-284547) for convenience as it's along the main road beside xi men ding and 5 mins walk to mrt. coach/taxi can also pick or drop you at hotel entrance.

pros:
- in room water cooler/heater
- convenience in location.
- cheap

as for taichung, i stayed in galerie hotel (http://www.wego.com.sg/hotels/taiwan/taichung/the-galerie-hotel-238592) which is 5 mins walk away from taiwan's biggest night market - feng jia.
