Angry! My FH just called to enquire with Chan Kai Yau and the was damn rude and arrogant. We jst called to enquire about his avaliability and to ask him on the procedures but could not confirm with him yet. He actually asked "then you call for what?!" i then told him this is the first time i'm getting married and still finding out more about JPs and actual day procedures. "you think this is come kind of competition?" he replied. ??? he thinks i'm comparing him to the rest of the JPs? huh? well from this incident i dont see why anyone would request him to grace your important day. can't even show a bit of patience to first time couples.

after that, upon knowing that Mr Chia is not bad, i went to approach him....great difference...glad that i managed to get Mr Chia to agree to solemnize mine...

we even offered to send him to and fro the place...he was like, oh, it's ok with me...not a prob cos i drive...dun worry....

Gosh... tot alot of ppl raves about chan? i was quite disappointed of his reaction cuz i keep asking my FH to approach him. Yet he is so rude! And YES, I got Chia Ti Yu as my solemniser too!! such coincident! Yes he is really very nice guy. Think he works in ITE... cuz the email address him email! got to do it now!

Hi hi,

I would not recommand Mr Chan as well. I had him as my JP for my ROM. All my friends asked me if i "owe" him $$$ cos his face is super Black,he did not smile through out the ceremony at all. He rmb the time wrongly and insisted tat we told him tat time. We cant start yet as all out guest are not here yet.He give us another 10min he say ask he is in a hurry for a meeting after ROM.

I emailed Prof Yu Shi Ming for my ROM in Jun08. He said it's still early...to inform him 3 months before again.

Hi all, would like to recommend Mr Yeo Woon Soo too. He is a nice and friendly elderly guy. Even though he did comment that we are early to book him for May08, but he still went thru the procedures of the solemnization patiently with us. Making sure that we know what to do during the ceremony. Gave us some suggestions on the venue decorations, ensure us that he will be ther 15mins earlier than our allocated time. We have only met up with him once and we confirmed our JP to be him. Thumbs up for Mr Yeo.

Previously, had tried to call Mr Chia too, but unfortunately, he has his own commitment on every saturdays afternoon. So went on to call Mr Yeo.

You should have the email address of your solemnizer rite? After you have confirmed his availability, you will be required to send the 'Solemnizer Consent Form' for him to acknowledge and return to you. The following is the link for you to download the form

My ROM was fixed on 20 Aug and many months back, I confirm Mr Chia Ti Yu to hold the ceremony for me. But last weekend, he called me saying that he can't make it because of his business meeting. He even got the cheek to tell me it would be better to look for JP who are no longer working !!!
Crap mah! He even signed the consent form which we went all the way to town for him!
Now we got to look all over for someone to replace him!
He is supposed to be someone who is popular in this forum.. but he is so irresponsible!
I am getting so sick..
