hi blue_skies, is this the seamstress you're referring to?

Irene Boutique
845 Geylang Rd #03-54 Tg Katong Complex
Telephone: 6844 8307

Do you have a pic to show? [email protected]

Thanks! I've actually made my CS with Zenn & Denn already, and very very pleased with it.. Now helping my girlfriends to source for theirs.. They wanna do one with full lace.. So thought maybe if they get their own fabric might be lower costs?

On a different note, Zann & Denn was really good.. Service, design, & delivery.. pleased with them!

PM me if you need more details! Collecting the dresses next week..

if possible, could anyone show me the outcome too? as i'm quite particular about the workmanship, dont wish to ruin the good piece of satin i've purchased.

has anyone been to fashion clinique at stamford house? if i'm not wrong, it's a rather new shop. but i'm not sure about their workmanship as it is my main concern. any reviews?? urgently needed.

by the way, is kim still doing tailoring? she sounds good! will she be willing to go down with arab street to source the exact material for you?

thanks!

Hi,

I don't really log into this forum these days, but if anyone is interested to know more about the cheongsam I tailored from Irene Boutique, please feel free to pm me.

I have also attached the design of my cheongsam and a picture of it. Sorry but I didn't take any photos of the back of the cheongsam.

Hope this helps!

Hi everyone,

i would like to advise not to go to a shop at bukit timah plaza, called v*ga (replace * with e). She could not deliver your gown on time and service is very poor. Everytime, she would say it's not ready and ask you to call back again. Imagine I need to wear the dress and I only got it the previous nite at 12am! Then I tried it doesnt fit at all. So, I sent the dress back again, again a lot of excuses and did not deliver on time cos she is very busy. She always claim that a lot of ministers go to her shop to tailor make clothes which i don't whether is true or not.

So beware don't spoil your big day with this kind of irresponsible tailor.

Hi, need some help:

1. Can someone recommend a seamstress that can do VERY elaborate intricate gowns? I have a magazine design in mind, but there is no picture of the back, so would like this person to be quite creative as well.

2. Can someone email me the contact and samples of Judy's and Yin Yin Fashion's work? [email protected]

Thanks!!

Kim's contact: 67831963

I decided to approach Kim last year upon seeing many favourable comments here. and she made me a beautiful cheongsum. It looks similar to the one in the magazine that I shown her. She also gave me a lot of helpful comments when I went to buy the material.

Do approach her early cos she is very popular

Hi,

A few of you mentioned a few good tailors. I am looking a good seamstress who is good at copying designer wedding gowns and is good with lace and crystals etc. But not too ex as i am on a budget. Can please email me contacts? And if you have done dresses with her before, can email me pictures? Thanks so much.

nexusangel,

i suggest abt 3-4 mths advance especially if its a hot wedding month. Better to be early coz she can be pretty busy.

I have just booked her for a short cheongsam for late May.

my brother is using this seamstress called Kim. If i am not wrong, she stays in Tampines and once you confirm the design with her, she will bring u to arab st to buy the cloth. The cost depends on how expensive your cloth is..

my sister in law made a modern qipao for $200 instead of $800.

Hi Nexusangel,

I have not called or gone down to see Kim so far.

Gals,

If anyone looking for seamtress Judy at People's Park, her add is Blk 34, Upper Cross St, #03-122. 6536 5776/ 9647 8077.

I have went down to check out Judy's fees but yet to make anything from her. Judy's fee has went up, its now $200 for workmanship only excluding material cost.

Hi gals have anyone tailored their WG or thought of tailoring your WG? Looking through the thread. Seems like pretty inexpensive as compared to those bridal studios. But then what about the veil?

someone posted previously abt a seamstress at bukit timah plaza called V***.

I also had a bad experience with her recently. Was quoted one price when I was there the first time. Needed time to consider. When I was back abt 2wks later, she quoted a much higher price and denied tt she could hv given me such a low price the previous time I was there.

I guessed she recognised me n thought can earn more since I'm back to make the dress. I left and swore nvr to go back again.
