Any good eye lash curler to recommend?

I have tried both Shiseido and Shu Uemura curlers. Both are very good but now I use only Shiseido cos its cheaper and u can buy the rubber refills. Shu Uemura's cost close to $30 now and u cannot buy refills once yours is worn out but have to buy another curler. Very exp.

As for mascara, I finally found a very very good and effective one that can lengthen and add volume to my lashes...and that is Fasio. I prefer the curl and volume type. But it can be pretty hard to remove. Used Fasio's oil makeup remover gel and find it good. Not only does it remove the mascara completely, my skin feels tighter after using it to remove my makeup.
I have tried those Loreal or Maybeline mascaras which promises to add volumes and lengthen your lash but no effect. Infact they make my freshly curled lashes droop.

I was born with single eyelids. But after years of curling my lash and applying mascara, I now have double eyelids! keke...save on cosmetic surgery too.

hey, try the ettusais ones! they are good and long-lasting.. a little pricey though ($40)...

for those with oily upper-eyelids, this is the perfect mascara! before, no matter what mascara i use, they all SMUDGES though they claim to be waterproof till i used ettusais!

Finally, no more smudging!

Try heated curler from ELLA, I was told it's their 3rd generation curler.
Works like wonder, only 5 seconds to warm up and it only takes me 10 seconds to curl both eyes.
The best thing is that it's slim like a pen and cost only $30.

By the way, got myself the heated curler and it's really easy to use.
The therapist curl my lashes for me in 5 SECONDS!for both eyes!
I almost can't believe it. I got my old one from Japan 3 years ago for $80 and takes forever to heat up and the head is bent.
They told me this is already the 3rd generation of curlers and has improved a lot since 3 years ago especially the new twirl head which makes it curl so fast unlike the bent head.

Hi Amy,

May I know, where do you get this new heated curler of yours? I just bought from Guardian last month and it can't curl well.

It takes me about 5 minutes to curl one eye and it's really irritating.

Hi mudpie,

Can't PM you.
You have chosen not to receive PM from members here.

Beware of immitations, saw something similiar in SASA selling at $12.90, so I bought one to try...very slow to heat up and can't really curl, anyway made in china, so that explains it!

The morale of the story is cheap and good does not exist!

Hi gals, this is a trick I learnt from a guy makeup professional at the DFS makeover counter. Any curler is good for you as long as it fits your eye shape (not too U as asian eyes are more 'straight'. [2] curl in 3 steps, clip on the tip of the lash , then mid and finally near root. This makes it curl upwards. apply mascara after curl is correct but do not wait for dry before another coat. If smudge is serious, pls apply highlighter or powder at the eye area.

For me shieseido works better than shu uremura. But over time, I think the curvature got lost a bit, so not as nice as before. But still way better than cheap curlers. It depends all on your eye shape.

Yes, cheap heated curler does weaken your lashes and caused it to fall off.

Recently, in the market emerge a new generation of curler to counter that effect by using magnetic wave technology from Japan. It will strenghten your eyelash to prevent dropping and make it healthier and some even experience longer lashes after using for some time.

The brand is ELLA and selling at $30-$38 depending on location. (Beware: immitation ELLA has also make their way to Singapore due to it's popularity, it's made in China and selling at $12-$16 with different packaging)

It will remain curled for 24-48 hours depending on mascara used.. So far I've managed 48 hours by using Lancome hypnose mascara.

Most importantly, no more falling lashes like before when I was using the crimper type. Saw a lot of people recommending ELLA heated curler at flowerpod.com.sg

Saw the curler from The Makeup Store voted as the best curler on Feb Woman's Weekly. Anyone tried it before?
I've been using heated curlers, works better. The first one was expensive, just launched & it just spoils soon after a few months but that was bought from Great World, $38 i think. The next 2 were from SASA, both $12.90 but the award winning one was good! With shallower & curved wand to fit the shape of Asian eyes.
