AVOID TRUE SPA at ALL cost!


Hi all, I'm a victim of TRUE SPA... and is in the midst of leading a group of 13pax (from different walks of life, gathered from various internet forums) in legal action against TRUE SPA.

Many have heard of the horrid customer service at TRUE SPA...

1. Unable to get booking slots made many weeks in advance.
2. Cant get thru their booking hotline.
3. Slots available for trial customers but not for existing customers.
4. Member card chargeable for some members but not ALL members.

The list goes on!

Legal action's purpose is to seek termination of contract, get back unused amounts, and also seek compensations.

Est. $200+ per pax in legal fees led by authorised lawyer.
The more pax joining, the less each participant needs to fork out.

I'm continuining searching for more victims from various internet forums to come together join forces.

Hi everyone,

I have massage package with Amore which left 5 sessions of massage (1hr per session) (Herbal Remedy / Aromatheaphy)which is up for sale.

Selling for $50 per session (usual price is $98) or $240 for 5 sessions. Good for those who will like to give amore spa a try or without any massage package's commitment.

Reason for selling coz i find amore spa consultants v. pushy and i have committed myself to another spa package and i do not have plans to go back to amore.

Amore spa service is good at certain outlets ya.. i juz renew my pkg.. not too bad, very friendly therapist n consultants. its not as bad as some of u who does the review.

I signed up Amore package after the first trial. Indeed, I was very angry and feel unwillingly sigtnup the package because of the pushy sales consultant.

Now they dared not push me anymore because I show them the face. In fact, I just renew the package as long as they don't push to me.

Went there once before using the voucher that I get for joining Amore Fitness. Treatment room comes with shower at Amore Jurong Point but that time I did not use the shower cos prefer to leave the oil on my body.

The massage lady that was serving me was quite strong. I have to ask her not to press so hard. Environment quite nice. But these are just my personal opinion....you have to go there and judge yourself.

I went to amore to have a touch up, trim and my eyebrows waxed. I made an appt. with the owner of the salon thinking this is how I would get the best service. I had an appt. for 10:00am and left at 8:00pm that night hungry upset and crying. While trying to fix her mistakes she put me under the dryer four times then placed me in her "waxing" room while she asked if I would pray with her. I was still so stunned by how she turned me from a blonde to a brunette It didn't quite soak in how many times she told me I looked so much better with darker hair and how creepy the whole situation was. I have no idea how this salon stays in business but I have spent the last year telling this story as the most horrific salon experience I have ever had.

Reading all those bad reports about Amore, I couldn't help but to voice out for my close friend who also fell into the victim of this spa. My friend was injured when she went for a massage. The masseuse used so much force (qi massage) that my friend was in pain for weeks. The spa refused to take any responsibility and kept claiming that very little force was being used. If the force was so 'light' how could it caused so much pain for weeks? The worst part was they mocked up all the untruth accounts during the court hearing and only agreed to return some portions of the remaining package. Besides, there seemed to be a conspiracy going on as when my friend was injured, the masseuse recommended a Chinese doc (also the masseuse's ex-trainer) to help to 'fix' the dislocation of the upper back that caused the pain (as claimed by the masseuse that my friend must have injured herself somehow and refused to admit that the pain was caused by her negligence). My friend clearly heard from the doc that the injury was caused by the heavy force asserted during the massage but apparently, the doc changed his account when the spa manager checked with him. How injustice this whole episode was when my cousin 'obediently' followed the advice of the masseuse to consult this Chinese doc for help after the injury caused and in the end, the treatment from the doc wasn't 'verified' by the court! So disappointed that such a big company like Amore would be so petty over refunding the full package and even turned around and 'mocked' at my friend of not being able to take the 'light' massage. How indignant she was when she was being treated in this manner even though she has been a loyal customer with Amore for many years!
Initially, I wanted to help her by buying over the remaining sessions of the package but she would rather forgo the nearly one thousand worth of the remaining sessions than to see anything bad things happen to me. I applaud her for standing up to her principles but at the same time feel a great sense of injustice for her!
So ladies, pls beware of this Spa and think twice before signing any package. As what my friend had noticed that the standard of the service has dropped greatly and to them heavy strength means good massage?! That is the most ridiculous logic ever! Every individual is different and if they could not respect that then it's time to find a better SPA that will take great care of each customer's needs beside the profit!
