Am looking mainly at the food, service of the staff serving the food, the location, etc. The legends ballroom seems more romantic but it is more expensive than Amara, not sure if the food and service is good. Btw, Amara has 2 main types of food menu to choose.

Sorrie, I m also comparing Amara and Legends ballroom at Fort Canning. In terms of Food, service, carparks and ballroom outlook, which are better between Amara, Novotel and Legends?

I had mine at Amara 2 months ago. Food is good, ballroom is long but there's NO after sales service.

The wedding coordinators' turnover rate is very high. I had a change of 4 persons since I booked I think. The one I had eventually is very young and inexperienced.

On the wedding night, the toilets sewage broke and some of my guests were stuck in a shitty situations literally! Can you imagine that?

I feedback to the hotel but none of them bother to reply! It's been 2 months and I'm too tired to pursue the matter further.

So, do be careful and pray hard that you're not as unlucky as us if you go with Amara.

I attend a friend's wedding at Amara Hotel few months back. Food wise ok. And it had good ambience and the ballroom is long. I had also signed with Amara for my banquet in May 2010 and my coordinator since Day One is Allan, didn't change for now. Good perks and positive service so far.

hi gals, if you are using novotel, u can consider using dragon phoenix restaurant based in the hotel and the menu for ball rooms start from $828+ onwards :) which is cheaper compared to hotel packages.

or alternatively, you can held in their restaurant which is oriental and classics, host 25-29 tables (a few blockage, small stage, one video montage screen, vip rooms open).

their menu start from 568++ and heard their yam ring is the signature dish :)

might be using there for my AD! do email me at [email protected] if you need pic for their venues :)

hello Rachel,
can i know when u said using dragon phoenix restaurant n compared to hotel packages, u mean booking done in the restaurant but AD wedding dinner will be in novotel ballroom? does the cost of 828++ include typical cost like hotel stay, ballroom deco, food tasting etc?

Hi ladies, i'm btb in sept 2013; just went to NCQ on Saturday to speak to their wedding coordinators; food is prepared by the Dragon Pheonix Restaurant.
So far the package is pretty standard and similar with the few hotels that my FH and I had scouted. We like the cinnamon ballroom and the attached foyer and outdoor balcony. Suite also pretty big.
Hope this info helps.
