Stress and other variable emotional factors can delay menses. It is common for some to even miss their menses more than a month or longer due to the above reasons.

For pregnancies, for some 3 days after missing the period date still could not be tested. A better timing will be 1 week after you missed your meses. It will also be good to consult a GP if you are that worried about the pregnancy issue 2 weeks later if your menses is still not here yet.

Why dont you try clearblue? Can be easily bought from pharmacies. Its accurate and once you tested negative, go take pineapple and see if your menses come. If not, see gynea.

Is it really common to miss menses for more than 1 mth? The most i miss it is just 2 weeks.

Kristy,

It's only been three days. It is too early for the pregnancy test kit to detect a pregnancy. I know that Clearblue needs you to have missed your period for about 2 weeks (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) for an accurate test to be made. In the meantime, and I know this is easier said than done, but try not to keep thinking about it. Otherwise, its non-appearance will make you more stressed out.

Importantly, does your period come irregularly? If not, have you been facing a lot of stress in the workplace recently?

If you're not ready to be pregnant (and if it turns out that you are not this time round), please go consult a GP and discuss which type of birth control will suit your lifestyle best.

Don't forget that by the time you miss a period and are indeed preggie, fertilisation would have taken place at least 14 days ago. So, I doubt one needs to wait two weeks after a missed period to run a pregnancy test.

Run a repeat test or better still, order a blood test which is by far most accurate.

it's really up to individual when a test kit can detect pregnancy. For some, think especially those who ovulated early, it may even possible to detect even before their menses are due, but of course most would wait til their menses are due, then they test. Actually most are able to detect pregnancy within days after their menses are due, but dependent of the HCG hormones levels (HGC hormones are produced only when conception occurs), some would have faint indicator while other may have darker indicator. There may be some who can only detect their pregnancy late probably due to late ovulation.

I forgot to mention to run home pregnancy test with morning first urine that contains the highest concentration of pregnancy hormones.

i missed mine 1 day and i tested positive. dun have to wait for so long.
it states the moment u miss ur menses, u can get tested. it's just tat it may be not so obvious line stated. just a faint line, and u can go to a doc to double confirm. as sometimes the pregnancy jus started hence it is a weak line.

I Know It Sounds Mean, But If You Didn't Want The Chance Of Being Pregnant Than You Should've Used A Condom... I Know That It Does Happen And Your Emotions Get In The Way Of Being Cautious, But It Still Does Happen... Maybe You Should Get On The Pill Incase This Happens Again... Your Chance Of Being Pregnant Will Be Much, Much Lower...

Do You Know When You Ovulate??? This Might Help You Figure Out If The Chance Is Higher To Get Pregnant...

He Won't Lose His Scholarship, But Your College May Be Put Off For A Year Or Two... If You Are Pregnant, Just Make SURE You Go BACK To School!!! Especially If You're As Smart As You Say You Are!!!

You Can Find Out About A Week Before You Period Is Actually Due...

GOOD LUCK

zyza and Carlisle,

This was posted in November 19, 2008.
If she was pregnant, she would have given birth long time ago. And the child now would be coming to 2 years old.

You came too late. haha...
