Anybody knows which hotel serves good afternoon tea? Am referring to those 3 tier cakes & pastries with tea / coffee.

Hi tea buffet is out. Many thanks in advance.

I like the one at Goodwood Park. It's buffet tho...

Otherwise try Fosters Restaurant at Holland V. It comes in a set. Haven't had the chance to try it myself (I live in the East & quite a distance for me) but heard from friends that it's good. They hv a website but can't remember. Try googling for it.

Hmm..not sure if anyone still reads this, but Halia at Botanic Gardens was good. I had my ROM there, they had an afternoon tea set (not sure if they still do). There is a 3 tier stand of snacks and afternoon tea snacks to be shared by 2 pax and includes a variety of their teas.

I tried the Raffles hotel, not bad. It is really not main for eating full but to relax. Maybe I went on Sun, it is very crowded and a bit noisy.

Compass Rose at the Westin used to go a good international hi tea with local dishes as well. But since it becomes Raffles Plaza, I havent had a chance to check it out again.

If you want scones and BKK Peninsula, definitely a place to impress clients is the Raffles Tiffin's High Tea.

I had totally forgotten about my last visit to La Terrasse at the Orchard Hotel as I had heard a rumor about their chocolate. Have to give it a thumbs up !

And yes, Swissotel Stamford's The Equinox still run its high tea and if things havent changed, they definitely have scones.

That is about all that I can remember. Best bet for you and your clients are the Raffles, Swissotel Stamford and Goodwood Park (check before you arrive as sometimes they have special promotion for one type of cuisine for hi tea and no scones !!!).

it really depends on what you are looking for as almost all hotels serves some kind of a high tea. Are you planning on more of a continental or local flavor ?

Raffles is pretty good (be warned there are two locations in the hotel that serves High Tea, take the Tiffin room as to the Billard room) and of course, it comes with a price and dress code (smart casual).

Goodwood Park is good, more local items here

Four Seasons is alright with more international (sandwiches, canapes, etc)

Hilton's hi tea (think only weekends) is another decent choice as well as Intercontinental (they have two kinds in different venues, I had it at the lounge which isnt bad)

Mandarin (Mezzanine Cafe) Hotel has one that is pretty good (or was, last time I went there was 2 years back), their famous restaurant has hi tea as well so this one comes with a view which I like (both view and food)

Marina Mandarin used to have hi teas but not sure if they still have it nowadays after they reopened

Cafe Vienna (Royal Plaza on Scotts) used to have long queues for their lunch buffet, hi tea is supposed to be pretty good

Intercontinental has a good selection which includes sushi

Marriott's hi tea has quite a selection, busy and crowded as a result (may also due to location as quite a bit are locals)

Grand Hyatt has a hi tea which I like

When I visited Merchant Court Swissotel, I saw a sign for hi tea. If it is like the other Swissotel in Europe, their standard is not bad (good coffee and chocolate !)
