Advice on divorce proceedings

Hi all,

I am currently stuck in divorce procedures for one plus years. Hope you guys can help to advise on my situation. I had waited almost half a year for HDB to provide me the information for divorce papers, after issuing the letter, my wife took 3 weeks plus to respond her will to contest after she requested more time. The court took 2 months to schedule a mediation session which will happen 2 months later. I am in total distress as the whole process is taking too long. Does any one knows if the dates of mediation is arranged by the court or lawyers of the 2 parties? A 4 months wait for a session/hearing is seriously too long!

My wife does not want the divorce so that I can still be her ATM and anger vending machine at home. She told me that she will not attend any of the sessions and will use all means like hospitalisation/travel etc as an excuse. I am very worried that this will never conclude. Does anyone knows if the court will allow such delay tactics? Or can the court withdraw her rights to contest? I can't seem to get anything out from my lawyer who keep saying he will try his best.

No one ask you to be her ATM machine....who ask you to be so stupid to carry on giving money to her....stop giving money to her and if she scold you, scold her back la.....who ask you to act like a wimp.....Eventually she will realize she is getting nowhere and will be pushing for the divorce.....

And anything pertaining to divorce, just consult your lawyer, it would be much faster. Most of us are just layman here....

its high time u change your lawyer.

To get reply from HDB doesn't required 6mth, only 3 weeks.
if she ask for postponement your lawyer can object if its happen to often then your lawyer can write a objection the judge.
if she ask u for money, don't give, let her show what is her neeeds that she can't pay herself, and can turn things against her if she is spending to much.
