Advice on Bridal Shops & Services

Can someone please help me understand the
A) Signature style
B) Pricing range for OTR

for the following preferred bridal?

1) Ted Wu
2) Silhouette The Atelier
3) The Wedding present
4) La-Vie (Eg: Known for their bareback gown)
5) Kai Couture

I have a petite frame at 157cm. I was being advised that Silhouette wouldnt suit me since most of their gown are known for being long and bulky thus will make my body loook short.

I am interested in laces gown and I need to bring the gown for overseas pre-wedding shoots....

hahaha. now iknow why Z-ahem is name as Z-ahem, i thot it's a new bridal studio. zzz.

anyway, im also looking ard for bridal packages. quite liked Z-ahem's pictures by Chris Ling studio photographers. but the staff kinda too pushy for my liking. wonder if they have a wide range of gowns available at their shops? if anyone can advice on this, it'll be great. thanks in advance.

very bad experience with Thomson wedding, very bad customer service after you have signed up with them. Also, they will until very near your AD then give info for AD.

My opinion is Graceful Image Designer Boutique @ Tan Quee St (o) 63389839.

It is a local designer boutique, they provided one stop services like all beatiful gowns, in house photographer and friendly service crew. The bridal boutique since 1990.

it really depends on what ur budget is.. a few friends i know went to JB for the value and price.

for me, I sticked to local coz dunwan the hassle of traveling to and fro.

Had my first appointment last Sat to choose 3 outfits for photoshoot. Though I took close to 5 hours, which I also don't know why I took that long for 3 outfits... my coordinator Vennice is really patient and gave very good suggestion on which type of cutting I should go for!

my AD will be next year Nov. ROM will be 2013 Feb.
I am starting to source for wedding gowns and suits for my hubby. I have already planned to do my hubby shirts and suits with Q Menswear as their service and quality is really good! my hubby currently tailors his work clothes with them. I am thinking of checking out Le Grand..any comments? Thanks!

Digio service is good & they have nice gowns. Look for consultant Daphane, her service is good & she won't hard sell. MUA Linda did a superb job for my photoshoot & AD. All my frens say the make-up and hairdo she did is very nice. Photograher Vanness nad Henry is very good. They capture precious moments beautifully.

Hi BTBs,

I'd like to ask how's the common practice here before signing up with a bridal shop.

If I'm taking OTR package, will I be allowed to see and try the gowns? I don't want to settle for something I don't like just because there's no more time for me to wait for new collection.

If I'm taking MTM package, will the designer draw me a sketch? I won't take the sketch home with me if I haven't signed up a package with them, of course, but I want to see if the designer understands what I want, and both sides (bridal shop/designer and I) to be clear how much it'll cost to produce the gown (materials, workmanship, etc).

Hi I have signed up with La Belle and Im very fortunate to have chosen the right bridal shop as I only looked at 2! Of course, research is very important. Anyway, Im very happy with their services so far! The gown coordinator was excellent and very patient in helping me search for the perfect white dress. ^^ also, our photographer was really good, I concluded this after looking at the raw photos he took! Almost don't need much editing. Im currently finalising the photos and also the photo album. *can't wait*
