I am quite new here. Normally what will you do if the BS already collect the deposit then only ask you to pay more? Not like I request for more services but they told me at that price, they need to take out some of the things they promise in my package. Had a really bad experience but not sure what should I do.

Hi Nia Nia, actually once you have signed, it should consider as a contract. They should not be taking things out in your package as promised to you. If they insist on taking things out, ask for a refund.

May I know which BS is that?

HI Jing Ying, thanks for the advice. I guess should be ok to mention their name here, right? It's Irene's Creation. I just do not have sufficient time to argue with them as the wedding is quite rush and maybe that's the reason they try to push their luck for that.

Hi Nia Nia, may I ask when is your wedding?
Is the one who asks to take things out from the package your coordinator? If not, look for the boss of your BS and asks why is this happening?

Wedding's around the corner. That person is so called as BOUTIQUE MANAGER. and worse is, she has already left. Ask another guy about it, he doesn't even bother. I can just conclude, their service is disappointed. Everytime I go there, I see different faces and they tell me different things. Turn over rate is quite high. At first, I thought they are in Raffles Hotel and the quality would be quite good. Eventually, I guess worse than those from Tg. Pagar. Which BS you chose?

Hi Nia Nia, I chose Rico-A-Mona. My coordinator is Jessie. Their service is pretty good and she's quite professional and friendly and not pushy.

I think if they are going to be like this, you have the right to ask for a total refund as it's a contract once you have signed it and they have not delivered as promised. If persistent, tell them that if this continues, you would like to see their boss at once. And let them know you have been transferred around without a fixed coordinator and that's frustrating.

Hi Jing Ying, Thanks for your advice. Trying to talk to them but seem like it has been pushed away. Hubby told me just let it go cause scared that they will have more "pattern" to us next. Sometime, these people doesn't know we can share things here and I am not sure how frequent can they actually do this to consumers?

Hi Nia Nia, no worries =) I hope everything goes well in the end! Maybe you can check the forums and look for a better coordinator's name and look for him/her. Maybe it will help a bit.

Hi KLynn, most BS offer both prewedding PS and AD services. It depends on whether you prefer to take on their packages or not.

The package costs averages about $3K to $5K depending on your needs.

Hi all, newbie here, wanna ask for advise for pre wedding packages.. 2 bridal shops in mind, la belle couture and Thomson wedding... Looking more for nice gowns n fun album.. Any gd advise??

Hi Erlin, besides looking out for nice gowns and fun albums, also look for nice coordinators as they will be the one with you most of the time. If they are not responsible and friendly, it will make the experience frustrating, which you would like to avoid!

Look out for hidden costs as well such as gowns selection and transportation.

ya, thanks for the advice! Will take note of that...

As for gown selection and transportation, some got no cars and we have to pay certain fees for outdoor shooting right? Gowns if they mention all racks, means ok right?

jingying

New Member
Hi Luvine, yes you have to pay certain fees for outdoor shooting for the transportation. You can request for cars for a cost if they do not mention it.

Better check what their all racks mean - does it mean all new gowns or latest collections included?

Hi to all, I am new to this forum but had been advised by many married friends to seek advice and read up this forum before deciding on my BS. I am a BTB in 2011, June to be specific. I know time is running out but work has just been bogging me down and thus to date, I still have not decided on my BS or rather not have time to search it out. In fact, I am still contemplating whether to do ala carte or package cos I am more particular bout the photography skills of my wedding photographer than the wedding gown as in my opinion,
nobody will rem the gown I wear

(sorry to those who disagree with me). Anyway, I finally been to two shops today-Silhouette (by appt) and I happened to walk into this shop at Tan Quee Lan called My Bridal Room. For the latter, the package seems very value for money but I am a little sketical tt they have so many couples signin up with them (yes, the sales guy showed me all the invoices). Any comments about My bridal room gals? And, I have shortlisted Di Gio, My dream wedding, divine couture and graceful image

would appreciate if you have any "warnings" against any of these BS and also open to other recommendations

thanks millions zillions in advance

Hi Nic, I am not sure whether I have replied you. Can you send me your email address to me at [email protected] if you are still interested?

Hi Eileen, you can actually go to the BS link forums to take a look at their reviews. So far, Di Gio, My Dream Wedding and Divine Couture seems to have received good feedback.

Dear All, I'm new to this forum. I would like to ask for some advices regarding bridal packages excluding outdoor photography (but include wedding day and dinner photography).
I think it should still be more worthwhile to find a package for wedding gown+suit+makeup+hand-bouquet but to negotiate cheaper as exclude outdoor photography, but not sure how much lesser?
What kind of prices should I be negotiating without outdoor photography? Around $2k possible? Importantly, any bridal studios to recommend? There are just too many bridal studios in Singapore that I'm not sure which is the best or trustworthy. Please help me out. Please email me at [email protected] for their quotation as well if have. Thanks alot!

Hi Remus, a package without outdoor photography should be around 2k+ and most probably will not cross $3K.

Some good BS out there which I have read in the forums are:
1. Di Gio
2. Rico-A-Mona (I pick this in the end)
3. My Sophia Wedding
4. My Dreams Wedding
5. Emmanuel B
6. Golden Horse Awards Bridal

Oh my numbering is not in order of preference. =)

Hi Jingying, thanks for the prompt reply. From these 6 BS, may I know what are the top 3 that you can recommend me in terms of order of preference? May I know how about Precious Moments at Upper Thomson Road? I saw quite alot of good reviews here on this bridal shop.

Actually, my finance and I are thinking to go to Taiwan (heard that they have very good shooting scenery during flowers blooming seasons) for the outdoor photography at the same time for a short holiday trip (since we had not yet been there before). Anyone here have tried going to Taiwan for outdoor wedding photography? Can share with me your experience on that? Thanks alot!

hi Remus, what's your budget like?

If you are going overseas for photoshoot, My Dream Wedding would be quite a good place to visit as they are well-known for their overseas shoot, though more is at Hong Kong.

Precious Moments, yep they have received good reviews as well. In terms of my preference, without Rico since I have chosen Rico, would be:

1. Golden Horse (price and service good)
2. My Dreams Wedding (service good, abit pricey too)
3. Sophia Wedding (gowns and service good, but pricey)

Hi Jingying, thanks for the recommendation on My Dream Wedding. My budget is around $4K to $5K (everything including Taiwan outdoor photoshoot). Do you think My Dream Wedding had packages to Taiwan at this rate since you had stated it is abit pricey.

From the photos shown at Golden Horse bridal, it seems like they don't have good photographer as compare to Rico and My Dream Wedding. Is that true?

Btw, may I know where is Precious Moments located? Is it the one at IMM? Can't find their website. Please help. Thanks.

Hi Remus, your welcome. =)
You can call and check with them about the rate. I did not visit My Dream Wedding as it's out of my budget.

In terms of photography style, maybe it depends on your preference. Some of them like the ones from Golden Horse Bridal while some of them prefer others. So it's really up to you. =)

I am not sure where's Precious Moments located either. I tried google search but come out with lots of different results.

Hey Remus, I just remembered another BS that's worth visiting. It's Divine Couture and their service is pretty good. =)

I found out where they are located finally: 2 Sin Ming Rd #01-06, 575583, Singapore
p: 65625486

They do not have a website though.
