Actual wedding dress for pre-wedding pix?

Are you supposed to wear actual wedding dress for pre-wedding pix? Or get others from the boutique?

Reasons I ask is:

-do u think it's nicer if the groom sees u in the gown for the first time on the wedding day?

-might dirty the actual gown, and besides there will be photos taken of u in the actual gown on the AD.

Mostly one of the gowns will be yr AD wedding gown. Reason being most btb would wan to take some pics of the WG for memmories sake. And when choosing of gowns, my hubby went with me so he already seen the gown liao.... even on wedding day he also knw which gown I'm wearing.

Can someone juz share with me, for Made to Measure Gowns, can it be tried on by other people before the wedding, other than the bride herself?

If your MTM Gown is promised to be kept til your wedding day, and nobody gets to see or try it, but you saw it being tried by others by coincidence, wat would you do???

Bought from David's bridal in US at USD1070 including tax. It is still in perfect as if brand new condition. I am selling at USD750.

Tegacki, ur gown will not be kept till ur wedding day. Other BTB will get a chance to try ur gown. Don't worry, it will be made available on ur big date.

This happens to me before, I gt a MTM rom gown and it happens that the other BTB was there while I was doing my makeup before I dress up for my day. She still can tell to her family members proudly that that was her gown.

You should be happy that people like ur gown.

you can have your prewedding gown rented from gown rental companies and then wear your AD gown only on your big day

Are there any bridal shops you would recommend for nice selection of gowns or custom-made? I have only about 2 months+ to my AD, so I'm quite worried now. Need to find something soon. Wanted to share my experience with my MTM bridal shop I did my gown with which was very good.

I did my wedding photography in Taiwan and only realised that I couldn't bring back the gowns used for the actual wedding day. However, i came across this bridal shop that does their own designs and does any designs brought to them by brides who wishes to custom make their gowns. I fell in love with this gown from a spanish brand, however the actual price to purchase the gown was insane.

This bridal shop actually managed to create the same piece I was looking for which was less than SGD$800. Also, they made me an evening gown which I purchased in a set of SGD $1,200.

For the workmanship and price they are charging for MTM pieces I found it reasonable so I thought of sharing my experience to pretty brides who faced the same problems as I did.

i think you shld definitely wear your actual gown for the photo shoot! because it gives u a chance to take good pictures in the most impt gown. on the day itself like everything too rushed.
