Hihi all BTB…

I know it is rather abrupt for me to ask this, but I would like to know, is there any BTB uses conceptive pills mths before their AD?

This is because I’m scare that my menses will come during my AD. And that will be very troublesome, as I’ll be wearing WG which is pretty inconvenient to go to toilet often.

So I’m thinking of using conceptive pills to stop the menses. And I understand that you must eat it mths beforehand so that it will take effects.

However, I’m also scare that I’ll put on weight becoz of the pills, as it is one of the side-effects of the pills. And as a bride, of course I want to look my best during my wedding

So I would also like to know, what other methods do you all BTB uses to stop your menses during your AD?

i think it a problem all of us face..
lucky for me, mine will finish a few days before my AD (i counted liao, cause my AD is only next month). haha but yes, i think its a good idea to eat the pill nearing to AD

cause some girls might feel faint or vomit (ME) during period. now, we wont want brides to be vomiting or fainting or cramping right...

Its quite easy to get, juz need to ask a doctor for it.. =)

Yes I agree wif wat "Doll" say its a problem we all face and can b real disturbing.

Actually there's 2ways to solve the prob. Either u just visit ur GP ask for pills to delay menses doc will advise u accordingly take few days b4 ur wedding will do.

Another is taking contraceptive pills. To wat Ive check with Doc, it doesnt take mths to take effective. Infact if u start eating on the 1st day of ur menses the effect is immediate. Check with ur GP dun worry

hi, it doesnot take a month to take effect,
just take the pills 4-5 days before the menses come will do...i always take this pills whenever i go for travelling...

just check with ur family doctor and ask for the pill..pretty cheap too..abt 20 bucks..

one more thing...u won put on weight by taking this pill..don worry. The pill only delay the menses for days..once u want it to come, u just stop taking the pills ..2-3 days..menses will come and back to normal..

dun wori.. me too take tat pills during tours.. is ok 1.. after stop it will come bk 2 to 3 days time..

But as per my doctor , the pill is harmless ...u better check with ur family doctor bcos there are many brand of the pills..different brand different effect ..?

Hi ladies... im on weight loss program with my health coach who is a qualified doc. He is currently pursuing a career in health & wellness. Hence I engaged him to help me lose weight healthily for my BIG day.

I asked him abt the pills to delay menses b4..he said it is not gd to take the pills as it could upset ur cycle.

hi there. the medication is called norethisterone.
it's actually some kind of hormone pill. to be taken 3 days before the day u think your menses is coming, one tab twice a day. some ppl take it on a regular basis (take a few days and stop a few days) to regulate their menses.

if you want to have it for just during ur wedding or honeymoon, should not be a problem. just need to go to ur GP to get it and get advice on how long med can be taken.

menses will resume about 2-4 days after you stop taking the medication.

side-effects: same as PMS, bloated feeling and other symptoms of PMS that u may have, but u wld already have experienced it cos' u take the med nearing ur menses date.

hope this helps a lil~ before u head to the doc for prescription! from my own experience, doctor and pharmacist consultaion.

i also took pills to stop my menses during AD. dont worry, u dont have to take Mths before! i only start taking 1 week before my AD. As long as your period is not due to come yet. Once my AD is over i stop taking le, and the menses just came abt 1-2 days later. HTHs

to add on, i dont think there are any side effects? i dont experience any weight gain or pimples outbreak. i have taken such pills quite a few times.. like for trekking, wedding photoshoot, etc. Dont think too much. It's very safe

My menses will be just around my AD...my mum ask me eat alot of pineapples to make it come early...I don't know if its just old wives tale or what...going to give it a try this month to test out...

pigy: It is an old tale of the past... Pineapples are cooling fruits and thus higher chance of menes arriving earlier but it can upset the stomach as well... It is better to check with doc if you might be able to take the pills to delay the menses...

for myself, pineapples not really help. i use to take a piece of pineapple daily in lunch time. and my monthly menses still abt the same date

Eating pineapple in normal Quantity will not change in menses. If you eat pineapple in more Quantity then will have effect.
