A Budget ROM? Any advice?

appreciate if u can send me the package for peony jade and furama.. wonder if it wil cost more to have it in a private room? if its possible, pics of the ROM held at these places wil be greatly appreciated! thanks so much!!

Hi Hui hui,if u plan for PJ's private rm ..it can hold accomodate 2 tables only lo..ifmoret than that will be in d main hall liao..no extra charges cos is actually meant to be a changin room for those AD dinner

I have short listed Furama City Centre (FCC) and Calton for my ROM buffet lunch.
The difference in these 2 are:
FCC is cheaper by $1000
FCC provide more add on
However, think the outlook of Calton seems to be more classy than FCC.
I am puzzled, please advice.

Hi Sw1,

You might want to consider Furama Riverfront than Furama City Centre, as i find the former has a better ambience, i had my ROM at the waterfall lounge Furama Riverfront, do go and take a look.

Hiya,i tink F riverfrony is better cos went FCC b4 ..dun leave a a gd impression on mi..& their service sucks..most of all d rm i went d paint on d wall is peeling off

Is FCC really tat bad???
I went to Furama Riverfront, but think is quite inaccessible. I like the waterfall as well. but think loads of the relative coming will be on public transport.

i intended to hold my ROM solemnisation on the 7/7/07, but i'm still cracking my head for a venue.. Preferably we dun intend to spend too much on the rental of the venue.. can someone pls share wif me, are dere ani nice places??

Hi sw1,

I went to both Furama and I do not like the service at Furama Riverfront.. The catering sales mgr was unfriendly at all.. When i ask how about the decoration in the ballroom ...Wat she told me is "As the ROM package is at affordable price, only simple decoration will be arrange.. You can get your own one to decorate".. Can't her reply is a nicer way?? N she don bother to tell any details at all..

Jus before that appointment, i went to FCC.. The service there is much diff.. Although the package is the same, the CSM explain the details to us..

It might also depend on the CSM that you make appt with.. So, choose the one that you feel the best..

I am new to this thread. Planning to ROM this July but still have not found a venue. Prefer to have it outdoor (garden, beach etc) Budget is around $2k for 30 pax. Any recommendations?? Thanks in advance!!

going to PJ for my ROM in middle of June 07. I want privacy so i chose 408+++ min 2 tables.. for 308+++ tables.. it will be in the hall..

i've a few quotes for ROM lunch/ buffet packages for Furama, Amara, Carlton, M Hotel and Mount Faber.. Those interested leave ur email here :D

hi... i'm new here as well. I'll be holding my ROM on the 2nd Jun 07 for abt 30pax at this Greek resturant(Philia). as the place is quite small and cosy... i'll having the entire place for my ROM. Probably those who are interested in it can pm me for the quotation.

I'm planning to ROM in Sep. Inviting abt 20 pax only. U choose to have lunch buffet @ Hotel Excelsior which is only walking distance from the ROM or River City Restaurant, 5 Coleman Street#04-02 Excelsior Hotel.

just reading the threads. Check out this place, www.xiyan.com.sg... great for ROM lunch/dinner or cosy Wedding dinners. Under $1K for lunch for 20pax...and u probably can have the whole place to yourself during lunch. Wedding dinner sits about 65 pax.

xiyan min hav to sit 4pax per table for lunch and 8pax per table for dinner.. my friend work there, can't remember he tell me how much but about wat Tania mentioned. i can chk w him..

I having my ROM @ PeonyJade restaurant in 15Sep.
300+ menu you will not have a privite Room. U will need to take the Table @ in the hall, Min u must take 3tables then u can enjoy then S$300++ Menu. For the Pritve room can only hold up to 26pax only. then min for the Menu must be S$400++

Hi, I be holding my ROM at British Club. Minimum 30pax... 30+ per pax....

They have rooftop, poolside and ballroom to choose from....

You can consider Seletar Country Club for your ROM, they have nice beautiful outdoor place called Fountain Terrace which oversee the golf course. I have confirmed my AD & ROM there in Nov 08. You can email to my planner at [email protected]
