September 2019 BTB here. my new house will be ready even before our AD.

HTB is a Chindian (Indian Father and Chinese Mother), Im Chinese. there will be some cultural clashes.

1. Where should we do our An Chuang? in our new home or my PIL house?
and what are the restrictions after An Chuang?

Have decided to do a chinese banquest, Future FIL have given the green light even though Future MIL is jumping. We will still proceed with the most important part for the indian tradition.

Would love to include some indian mix into the chinese banquet. have approach FMIL on this but she seems not too interested.
--> She had insisted that we do the traditional indian wedding, HTB insisted to do a chinese banquet. so i would like to mix both if i could.

2. What is the process of traditional Malayalam(?) wedding??
---> What are the musts do? what can be obmitted?
---> when HTB's brother got married (their house wasn't ready so they stayed at his parents) they had to go back to the parents for some dessert of sorts? so if my house is ready, and i would have been staying there for quite some time, do i have to go back to PIL house after the wedding?

appreciate any inputs.

Wah!! Seems like it’s very exciting to have 2 traditions together!

I don’t have any experience for Chinese and Indian weddings. My Uncle is an INdian and my aunt is a Chinese.

For An Chuan, my mum told me that it should be done at new house where you and your HTB are living together.

Which hotel will you be holding your banquet at ??

thought so too, that an chuang should be done at our own house. but house will be ready much earlier. understand from my mom that, we cannot touch the bed after the an chuang process until wedding day.
im holding my banquet at Hilltop Garden Restaurant Ballroom.

now HTB mother give me another round of headache. we already told her that the house will be ready much earlier than our planned wedding date. she was ok. and now she say we cannot stay in together before the wedding. and since, she wants use to do prayer for the house. after prayer is done the house can't be left empty with no one to stay.
