Oh, how was your experience with Lourve so far? I didn't sign with them cos I didnt like the experience.

Same here.. they are my first choice but after the meetup, i will not recommend my friends to sign up with them.
The co-coordinator that we met only pick "potential" customers to serve. Very bad customer service experience. Wasted my trip down.

Hi, I've made an appointment with Digio and will be going down this weekend with my sister. Will they allow you to try on gowns without signing up? Thanks!

I went last month and they allowed me to try on the gowns. The co-coordinator that served me is very nice and professional.
Their gowns are quite pretty too, quite a range of different gowns.

I met LVB (Louvre Bridal) at the hotel wedding show previously like I shared.
I have been sending them emails and calling them whenever I have doubts, and my coordinator is quite prompt and helpful in their reply so far.
I am getting puzzled over the biased comments? I guess if you don't like a bridal, you won't sign up with them naturally.

For me, I am quite neutral and will base on my experiences to rate on their customer service. I have not done my photo shoot yet, so I reserved my rating for the photos first.
From what I experienced, I like them being patient and accommodating to address our concerns and even allow us to split payment for us to feel better
during the time we don't feel good without seeing their gowns personally at their boutique.

Yea same. The consultant I met didn't bother explaining package to me, didn't write any details down and just bad mouth other bridals. I understand that they have positive reviews too, but it really depends on which consultant you met that day.

Hi jesstan7446,

I dun think it's biased comments. It's based on personal experiences? Maybe you are one of the lucky ones. Their emails are prompt cos they have an admin assistant to reply to emails?
They have a few sales coordinators. I believed not all are bad but just so the one that served us was. To be frank, they are my top list. I already prepared to sign on the spot before the appointment until the meetups.

Maybe we met the same coordinator?

I have been there twice. First time, the sales coordinator refused to serve me cos my HTB did not turn up as he can't take leave last min. She asked me to bring him down then talk. So she just let me see an album and after I insisted on knowing the price, quoted me a price for pre-wed, AD and PG/VG. Before I left, I asked her to send me the price package details which she never did. I spent 1 hour plus to travel there and find the place but in less than 5 mins, I was asked to leave the place.

I decided to give them a second chance cos they are the first bridal shop I went to, so I thought maybe that's the practice for all bridal shops. So I made a second appointment, this time with my HTB.
We waited for the same person to attend to us. What she did was just asked us to read the bourche, after we read, asked if we got any questions and asked us if we are interested to sign up. The bourche is in point form. She didn't even promote her products. We tried our best to find questions to ask, but seriously, we dun even know what to ask as she dun bother to explain the details to us. The experience was so bad that I had to request another sales coordinator to attend to us, which is better as she is more sincere in serving us.
So my 2nd meetup with the 1st sales coordinator, we exchanged less than 10 sentences and last for only 5 mins... but we waited for her for about an hour plus as she was serving customers at that time.
I felt that as customers, we were already very sincere and patience.

blushpink, I think I can understand your frustrations of the wasted trip. I think there are bound to have some rotten eggs in the basket, just like I have e some colleagues who just don't do their job well
and end up affecting the rest of me and others in the team. I think most of us might have these type of colleagues around us.

I think that you should feedback your experience to the Company instead. Since like you said, maybe there is only 1 bad coordinator (the 1st sales coordinator) afterall.
In this way you will also be helping the rest of brides to-be so that we won't encounter the same thing.

I can also help to feedback to my coordinator, because she is a nice person, very friendly and easy to talk to. By the way, the follow up is from by coordinator. Don't know if they have other admin reply a not.

I'm going this weekend too! What time are you going?
i went down at 2:30pm. Apparently their coordinator sucks, the guy was just standing there. ask me go choose 3 gowns and try. I didnt like the gowns, very limited as compared to rico-a-mona. after trying 1 gown, i left. dont want to wish my time with them. rico-a-mona was so much better. I tried about 5 dresses, the coordinator yenn yenn was very patient with me and tried to accommodate my requests. In the end, i did not sign up with all of them. still on the hunt of bridal studio. did you sign with digio?

You can consider My Bridal Room. 2 of my friends and my HTB eldest sister took up their package as well. My coordinator Grace is very prompt in replying all my enquiries via Whatsapp.

There is no bad review about the studio based on my friends.

Over the weekend I spent quite a bit of time reading up on the various forums and found out that without a doubt, most bridals have their own pros and cons.

A few weeks ago, I happened to be around Bugis area and realized that they were having some outdoor bridal event.
Out of curiosity, my partner and I decided to drop by and take a look. To our horror, we were actually being forced to sit down and were being convinced to commit to the packages. Even though we explained to them that we had no idea what we wanted for our wedding yet, it seemed like they neglected that fact and was just interested in selling us the packages they had to offer on that day. This experience left a mark on us and we decided that if we were to sign up with a bridal, it wouldn't be with any one of the bridals that were at the event.

Upon my research, I realized that there were some recommended bridals which weren't at the event and was wondering to learn more about them.
After reading several reviews, I found that there were some bridals such as Digio, Louvre, Tiara which works a little differently, in the way that they are not the type to push for sales and another plus point is that their positive reviews actually outweighs the negative ones.

Since I have no personal experience with them yet, I shall reserve my comments till after I have visited these bridals but I am really excited this time because I feel like i'm definitely more well-prepared!

I hope I am not the only guy in the topic. I am doing all the research, because my wife to-be has a busy work schedule, always flying. Please give me some advice on the venues. She likes garden wedding. Thanks!

Actually I'm also stuck at booking the venues when everything has been booked. Pre wed photoshoot, AD photoshoot and videographer. Now only left the venue and the date of the AD.

Hi btbs, any PG and VG for AD to recommend? thanks in advance!

I would recommend Forest productions. Met up with one of their video guy Chris recently.. His works are pretty interesting and down to earth guy..
my brother engaged them for his AD as well.. Best part is that he is not pushy at all and even told us to go look at a few more company works before deciding.. :):)

You got any preferences ? Better booked fast as venue is the most difficult to book. I booked my one year in advance and it's not even my first few choices.

I booked mine at regent. I was looking at goodwood, Hilton, Marriot, intercontinental and mandarin oriental, raffles basically all the hotels I can think of. But they are either booked on the day I want for my wedding or the sales person was not so professional.
When I called four seasons to enquire, they told me they are booked and asked me to try their sister hotel regent instead. I went down to regent to see and it's available and sales person is friendly, so I pay the deposit immediately. For me I think finding the venue is the most stressful ha ha maybe I booked one year in advance so consider quite late.

Woah! You are looking at lunch or dinner ? I was actually looking at Oriental too but their dinner package has exceeded my Budget far too much. I think 2017 dinner are pretty costly now !

I took dinner. Yah like every 2 years increase $100.
Maybe you can check out rendezvous hotel, crowne hotel, grand mecure or copthorne or M hotel. I have been to weddings at these places, it's actually not bad and the prices are not as high as those 5 star hotels.

Actually we decided with the one at harbourfront Centre.
I think is better for you not to consider that place. I saw in a post at fb that they cather the vip rooms inside the banquet venue to other guests although the couple are willing to pay for vip rooms.

Imagine having yam seng heard from vip rooms?

I've signed up with Louvre for the local outdoor prewed shoot but have not arrange for my shoot yet. Still thinking which are the best month to arrange for the shoot. Been stalking their fb for sometime before we went down and was kinda of psycho into signing up since it was the first bridal we had visited :p I don't see much reviews about them. Perhaps anyone who had rendered their service can comment about it?
I would say the package that we took is quite basic. Service wise quite ok as they reply to my queries rather promptly.
Hope that the end result will turn out good though :)
