Wedding banquet & bridal package - settled.

Any recommend for instant photo booth & videography ?

Wow seems like october is a hot month! I've done my pre-wed shoot, wedding solemnization/dinner venue. Already sourced for invites and wedding favors. Now looking for AD photographer/videographer. I have shortlisted too many, headache

Yeah! very hot. Any recommendation for AD photo? I'm still deciding if i should just get the bridal AD or not.

We initially took up Busybody photo booth but due to budget with decided to give up on that.. Videography i strongly recommend forest productions! almost half of my bridesmaids and my sister took up their service. Really impress with their works and price!

Hello! I am getting married on 2 October! Read through the thread and saw that there are a number of 2 October brides too!

I have settled my hotel (Parkroyal at Beach Road) - luncheon and bridal studio. Was wondering what the usual norm program for wedding banquet luncheon which is a must have?

Is it true that 3 months before and after your wedding.. you cannot attend other people's wedding? What are the consequences if this is not followed? Or is this just a myth?

Hi there! I'm also a 2 oct bride and also doing luncheon. Norm program shld be pretty much the same as dinner, just that time is tighter and your day have to start earlier! I'm still doing gatecrashing and all, but tea ceremony to do all at once in the hotel after my rom. How about you?

According to elders, its 100 days before and after the wedding... they said if you give angbao, fortune will "leak" to the other couple? Not sure how true but really depends on how pantang you and your HTB are..

Hello! I am planning to skip gatecrashing, skip 回娘家 (because my partner and I stay too far apart) and to do all the rom and tea ceremony at the hotel immediately after going to the groom place. Timing seems very tight still, so may need to wake up earlier! Have you gotten your JP yet? :)

Hehe i also wont 回娘家 after going to my in law place. Will go straight for photoshoot with my bridal party then to hotel for ROM and tea ceremony! Yeah i agree timing still v tight so have to wake up earlier! I dont think JPs confirm so early? Planning to look around april :)

I was reading on this forum that some JP slot had alr been taken for Oct, so feeling gan chiong I went to enquire. Manage to get one to do tentative booking for me when he dont usually do so. At least one thing off the checklist. Haha.

I kind of wanted to! Cos we have this thing where we order and surprise each other with birthday cakes from a common friend who is a baker from carpenter and cook. And her cakes are totally beautiful. But we havent decided!

Thanks for sharing! I can't remember the pillars, but well, I think it's quite ok, cos we are doing 30. Have to forego a few of the perks though. But well, we didn't have much hotel or restaurant choice with our requirements.

Yup we didn't like the bs photography too so photography decided t go ala carte. Haha I feel like got quite a lot of time too but my friends/cousins who got married told me i don't have much time t plan and I should hurry lol

Wah!!! We are totes similar. Ok, i shopped abit but I chose Rico in the end cos Jeslin is really good. I think she's got a flair for it. She picked really good ones. But I might not take their photography.

I have settled the followings:

Banquet venue: RWS genting Jurong
Pre-wed BS: only confirmed sample studio from JB, haven't taken photo
AD PG&VG: -
MUA: celest ong
AD gown: Bqueens
Emcee: -
Wedding bands: -
JP: -
Wedding car rentals: -



I have another banquet in Malaysia side, also settled banquet only.
So many things haven't settled yet!!!

Hahah Changi village is one of the choices but the location is abit out for my friends who are staying in Jurong area.

Mine next year december .. Still thinking abt hilton..yester went orchard hotel..the building is quite old..Is yours lunch or dinner?

Now thinking if shl take Novotel..anyone taking novotel?

Yah, e venue is not ideal for my family but better for my htb cos he stays ard east. I'm holding lunch Cos mine's on a Sunday. Hopefully ends early not so difficult for the guests to go back.
Ya agree, Orchard hotel looks a bit old.. what abt Hyatt or royal plaza on Scotts? The exterior's very nice.

I took novotel! But I booked mine since last year. I went to their wedding show yesterday to see their new wedding by the Quay solemnization. Looks very nice!!

But you need to see how many tables you want because there are 2 ballrooms..

Hi ladies, I'm getting married in Dec. ;) Didn't have much time to log in here. But I always try to whenever I have time. I have booked Thomson Wedding Collections too! I love their service and gowns. As for emcee I got Sylvia Tham too! Every time she surprises me with her professionalism. I met up with her and realized that she is a very nice lady. She is very very very superbly experience with weddigns. Recently, she was invited to Koh Samui to emcee somebody's wedding and she has done such a good job that I kept seeing good and positive reviews of her.

24th Dec wasn't the date I was looking for initially. But the two dates I wanted in Oct and Nov was not available.
But it's OK! Our dating anniversary is on X'mas day anyway. Haha!

What have u done so far?

I am holding dinner. Took the most ex menu as they were giving free flow of wine and beer for 3 hours during last year wedding show.. I'm taking the Phoenix ballroom, on level 6 as I'm having about 32-35 tables. The min is 30 tables for that room.
