Actually many BTB have same issue and ended up their flats came much earlier than their ROM date.

Sherlin, it's illegal to do that. You can look this up at ROM website. I initially wanted to do this too but found out it's not possible
I have tried searching yang ming shan and they have some flowers exhibition.. not sure if it is an every year thing..
If you can try to go before March, I think it would be advisable.
My PS co recommended late jan - feb, as well as honeykitty. Wanted to go in March as well, our anniversary. Hahas

usually completion will be earlier than estimated date. same for both HDB BTO and EC.
there's a grace period of 3 months after completion for you to submit your marriage cert. if it's me, i would choose to ROM latest 3 months before the estimated date - meaning giving 6 months of buffer for early completion

Imo, packages are more or less similar (but of cos, visit a few studios to see their packages so that you know the benchmark). I chose based on the general style of the photos, personally I prefer more casual shoots so I look for studios that does that. Then as long as price is within expectation (the benchmark), can sign le.
Any reliable studio to intro? and how much usually it cost for a AD PG and VG , what does the package usually like?
I only know like 10hours of PG+VG , soft copy in CDs and return all photos. That all ?
Does some studio include prewedding video ?

Hmm that depends on what kind of feel do you like... my bf loves photography so he's very particular on the "feel"... I'm fine as long as it looks good... i think he likes joho
for videography, if u like sth funny, can go for wedding paparazzi

Am new here. Planning for wedding in 2015 too! A bit early but I think can start looking. I don't intend to burn a hole in my pocket for the wedding... rather save up for travelling and the new home Went to wedding fair at vivocity a few weeks ago, think that the packages are all quite exorbitant and the cheaper ones (2k plus ones) really don't have very nice gowns and photography. The online stores ones are ghastly! Out of question. Hai.... I know cannot want best of both worlds but hoping for something quality (gown and quality), more fashionable and not too gaudy. Any good recommendations , do PM me! I'll be looking out and posting the more interesting ones.

I have been to Sheraton Towers showcase. The price is not any cheaper. Just that they throw in more and extra perks during their showcase.

I got my flat already (resale) but only ROM/church/AD in july (on same day). They grant me 3 mths extension.
So I dun think u guy need to rush ur rom just for a house. Do write in. U never know if u can be granted exemption
Then can do everything sequentially

hey by writing in, you mean you just send HDB an email to request for extension? i asked my solicitor (for EC), they say strictly 3-month "grace period", no extension..
Attended quite a few. Different hotel operates differently. Usually they are more flexible during roadshows, eg. exchanging the perks for something else.
Might be cheaper for some package, some package have cash rebate for a certain no. of min table.

depends on the hotels, mostly will have extension bout 1-2 weeks. They will usually tell u that this promotion only valid for the roadshows. But u have to try to ask, eg. need to discuss with parents etc, etc..

Thanks for the advice. Looks like i may have to plan to rom in end 2015 cause we both wanted to hold it during year end..

it was my dream location however its out of my budget hence i gotta give up this choice. =(
I am shifting my options and exploring resturants too however one of the concern is that there is no wedding favours nor a overnight stay room.
Anyone know how much will can it be cost to purchase wedding favours ourseleves and the logistics planning ie how to drive home if we drink so much. our brothers will help us drink too so impossible to ask them fetch .. lol another *headache* issue.

it depends on what you intend to get for wedding favours.. i haven't start thinking about it yet, so not too sure about the budget for wedding favours if we were to source separately..
but my SO and i saw chocolates that can have photos/messages printed on them. tasted not bad, not the cheapo choco type, though not high quality as well. cost around $3 per piece, comes with casing (hard transparent plastic) and nicely packaged (box + ribbon).. of cos the more u get, the cheaper the cost/piece.

I have not book anything yet... going to look at AD bridal package coming weekend.
Preparation for wedding is indeed hectic. Just searching for wedding venue already draining me out.
Nowadays, banquet price are high with minimum table to meet. I am drilling down to a few places so not to stress myself out.
I multitask alot too as I don't want to do everything last minute. Not many guys are patient enough to go through the research together...
I hope I can settle all by mid April.

I have scaled down my search for banquet as well due to min tables. We dont have alot of people whom we wanna invite, so its kinda easier to do so.
Same same, I like to get things done and deal asap so that I can move on with other things. I have done up the wedding checklist for my HTB, maybe it will scare him a little to see that there are sooooooooooo many things that needs to be done.
I have an extra thing to handle as we will be having church wedding. One more headache. =|

I'm not signing up with any boutique coz we're having a (relatively) small and chill lunchtime ROM + reception. Gonna be wearing a short dress the whole time so no need for gowns etc. the whole thing from boutiques. The Mar trip is just with friends for pigging out and sight-seeing haha. There goes my fitness/health plans.
For now I just need to find a photographer and MUA. Anyone have any to rec? I've mostly googled around for reviews hahaha.

Just went for a photoshoot in taichung. Sakura shld be end of jan or feb. Went on mid jan, starting to bloom.
For my case, the lady told me that as CNY is always fall within this period, their staff usually will go on leave, thus, it takes bout 1 mth to edit the photo and send to you via email. Depends on no. of amendments u wanna make. it takes another 1-2 mth for printing and delivery. They will take note of your wedding date as well, so maybe you can request for express service.

Ahh no wonder my grandmother told us the sakura are already in bloom (my mum's side is from TW so heard about it during mum's CNY phonecall home hahaha). I'm going in March so when the warmth moves north we can catch the flowers at 陽明山. I've seen travel reviews that 乌来 has sakura too, if you're not keen on going up a mountain (if anyone's thinking about it).

Yes, I was told by them that it would be end jan to end feb.. thus I picked before cny '15. I can't do it earlier or later anyway cuz I'm still on braces till then ):
乌来 is quite not along the way, at least 陽明山 is right smack in the middle to the journey up to 翡翠灣
