Hi Babe

Wedding planner offer different packages depending on what you need and how much you are willing to spend, the full service of the wedding planner should include all the following:-

1. Working out and Managing Budget
2. Work out timeline for events (when to confirm venue/BS, when to take pre wedding shoot etc) & remind couple when it is time to complete tasks
3. Sourcing for vendors (venue/car/BS/VG/PG etc) according to couple's needs
4. Presenting vendors to couples with all details (i.e arrange for site inspection for venues, appointments with BS etc)
5. Liaising with vendors to deliver service promised (negotiate on terms and what is required)
6. Conceptualise theme/decor
7. Coordinating schedules for rehearsal/dinners/meet-up and most importantly, wedding day
8. Coordinate details for actual day (seating plan/ invitation & RSVP/ transportation etc)
9. Final itinerary for Actual Day
10. Following the couple and making sure everything is in order during actual day
11. Arrange for payment for all vendors, making sure the tear down of the event smoothly (vendors to collect back their props/ stuffs/ no damages to venue etc)
12. Arranging for Thank you note & photos to be sent out

Also include any other ad-hoc things required by couple :)

The more popular package in SG usually only includes the coordination of the actual day, as most couples would have already settled the venue/ BS/ VG & PG themselves.

Thank you dear. much appreciated!! =)

Any ladies plan to engage a live band for their AD? Like the Ben Wedding serenata.

The venue I wanted, 10 Oct, is snapped up for both lunch and dinner. :( so am thinking if I should just make do with the date or just find another venue. How about yourself? If I'm not wrong you booked yours alr? :)
yup, I went with Raffles.. booked it during their roadshow...
check out other venues? to be honest, Raffles was never in my list until I went down and find it pretty nice...

as for my date, I did not suan... I kinda google the date... haha

I googled as well! And that date just kinda speak to me. Haha. :p So I was pretty disappointed when Crowne Plaza was fully booked on that day.
Anyway, I really loooove their ballroom. But too bad.. And I gotta comment that they took forever to reply. As if they are not keen in doing my biz. :(
I'm going down to Concorde next week! They are available on 10 Oct!!

I was looking at 53A. But their rates are kinda outta my budget. :(

May I know who is your coordinator? How's the venue and food? Overall experience good?

Mine is Zaiton, very friendly and accommodating. My wedding is next Jan so I can't tell you much about the food but I really like their ballroom, square and pillar less with higher ceiling. Also, the ballroom comes with it's own reception area which is quite big.

Price wise, quite affordable (for lunch) considering the location at orchard. And I'm not too bothered by the facade which some might find a bit old looking.

If you're concerned about the dingy pubs and shops at the lower level, the hotel recently built its own escalator that goes up to the lobby directly from street level which is good.

I know what you mean... that's why I just shortlisted 5 hotels that were within our budget and desired location, went to view 3 of them after email queries and made my decision after that :D

Hi ladies,

Is it possible to set my “marriage” date on a particular day (Tuesday) and have my solemnization done few days before (Sunday)? I'm planning to separate my solemnization and AD.
I want to have my solemnization be done outside and not at the ROM office.

If so, er.. What is the procedure like?

Do I have to book the venue and the JP first, get the consent of the JP then file notice of marriage? Do the solemnization on the weekend, then on the following weekday go down to ROM to verify documents and sign statutory declaration?

Sorry to ask. Am really clueless. None of my closest friends getting married yet.

You mean separating solemnization and actual wedding? Lots of people do that now so there's no prob with that. Or do you want to separate because you don't want to do it at the office? You can invite the JP to your venue and do everything on the same day too.

Usually the first thing is to confirm a venue if you already have a date in mind. Which date are you looking at? It can be a bit of a rush now unless you're looking at the second half of 2015. Then find a jp, get the consent form signed, then file 3 months before rom date. The rest... I'm also a bit clueless coz we only just got the form signed lol.

Hmm.. For eg, I want my 'married' date to be 5/8/15 which is a weekday. But I wanna hold my solemnization on a Sunday (2/8/15). Is it possbile?

You mean the date on the cert to be 5 aug? Then the solemnization should be on the same date because you'll be signing on it then.

hmm i think it's depends on our luck and if the hotel is able to get the good servers on that wedding day... afterall all of them are working there as part time...

I'm so excited about it! ; D

oh....... hmm.. Then I can't hold a outdoor solemnization on a weekday le. =(

Thanks for your infor anyway dear.
hmm not quite sure why u can't. Why not invite the jp on the weekday for the date you want? If you're splitting the events because you're worried about the rush, maybe take leave from work so u can have the whole day? The process is quite fast too, abt 15-20 mins.

YES! My mother brought me there. =.=
Anyway shortlisted a few BS HELp ~Comment please ~
La bella, White link and Z wedding ?? =X
La bella is too popular till they might not patronize you if no prior appointment. Went one of the sat afternoon and no one even bother to come to the door to tell us they ate busy etc. 2 free staff busy stand there and chat even when we had eye contact. So left the place since they don't need our business.
Whitelink .. heard that there's hidden cost etc. So better check clearly. .

All BS will have their positive n negative reviews I guess.. labelle gowns are nice and mediacorp have been using them recently for their shows. Even xiaxue got her gowns there! But I experienced bad service from the staffs there (same as reecia).. or maybe just wasnt my luck I guess.

Whitelink has their gowns featured on tv too. Got quite a few friends from Whitelink. All so far no issues... but do take into consideration as their main boutique is at the east (so if u stay in the west might be inconvenient).

No comments for Z wedding.. but forums also got good n bad reviews.

What I suggest is for you to shortlist a few shops (which I see that you have already).. go down to their boutiques and see their gowns (most impt!!!), their packages etc. Easier for u that way :p

I can't comment much about La Bella and White link as I have not visited them. Z wedding has nice gowns but the staff was very rude. I walked away with the impression that they aren't keen to do business. Another friend also had the same experience. Perhaps you should visit to see if you are comfortable with them.

Hi all! I'm a Oct 2015 bride! Has anyone of you delayed booking of venue because you needed to 'calculate' the date for your wedding? I delayed mine because the 'tong shu' not out for next year, but I went ahead to book my date anyway. Then pray hard the date we choose is good.

Wow amazing. I only cleared max 4 bs at roadshow per day. Whitelink leaves me a bad impression too. Talk behind back. Cos my SO couldn't understand Chinese, so I play along.

at first my wedding date is 9 Jan after looking at tong shu... however I find it too early and rush to book so I decide to push back and doesn't want to wait for tong shu and stuff so I just google for the date...

I'm on 10 Oct! Seems like a pretty hot date. Luckily I managed to book my venue before it gets taken up. I've signed a BS already with White Link. Booked them even before we confirmed any date :D

I also had the same worries. I wanted my AD to be after I get my house so have to push til end 2015, if not clash with house moving and 7th month.
