@mianbaolian you keen in solemnizing at their poolside or garden? Their poolside is very nice. Hahaa. One of the reason my htb choose there is bcos of their poolside solemnization too. Hahaa..

Hihi everyone!! We went to count e dates. So ends up we cannot use 19dec anymore :(

Also we found out that we might need more than 28tables, so we have to give up Crowne plaza and find other hotels.

Lucky u found out now, else you will have a hard time trying to squeeze your guestlist! Which date are you looking at now? And how many tables for dinner? can give you some recs ;)

Yeaaaa..! Apparently my future in-law side need more tables than we thought of! We are looking at 05-Dec or 15-Nov, but 05-Dec has been taken up by most of the hotels.
We are going for viewing this weekend of Orchard Hotel, Holiday Inn Orchard and both Furamas. :)

haha yes my date is 5th Dec and when we booked in May, a lot of hotels already didnt have my date.

If you go to Orchard hotel ask for Oliver, tell her u know Carol from Holiday Inn last time, he will give u a good deal :)

Holiday Inn Orchard better co-ord is Krystal, u can ask for her.

Orchard hotel im being assigned to Angie.
Holiday Inn Orchard im meeting Krystal this weekend.

Ya 05-Dec is a hot date, no need to check they say taken already haha!
Btw do u have any recommendation for BS? ;)

@ahfatapril I have checked with Krystal already, 05-Dec has already been taken. So i have soft booked with her the slot for 15-Nov ;) I am looking to have some good bargains with her for extra perks. Hahah! Im meeting her this saturday :)

Hi I am a Nov 15 BTB but when I checked with Krystal, she mentioned she cannot do the soft booking for me because of the upcoming wedding show, may I enquire how did you do the soft booking?

I also tried booking Conrad but I'm on the waitlist as well...so sad :(

Babe, what you can do is make an appointment to go and view the place before the wedding show, and ask Krystal to give you the same perks for the wedding show. If you like the place, confirm it before the wedding show so you don;t have to fight with other couples who confirm during the show. It is usually do-able as they don;t do soft bookings now but confirmed bookings are fine ;)

Hmm..im not sure though. I think its becos im going down to meet her and make a decision therefore she agreed to make a soft booking for me. (Or i sound really desperate to get a place) hahaha! :D

Thanks gals, I made a soft booking with Krystal and viewed the ballrooms today. Indeed she is friendly and gave us good advice. mianbaolian, did you book with hol inn in the end?

I liked the Crystal ballroom but the min tables was 25. orchid was 15 min but the ceiling is a bit low...so i'm still considering...congrats on booking your venue! I may be Nov'15 bride if no changes to my plans

Well, my HTB have some concern on the high low part of crystal ballrm, and i prefer no pillars thats y we eventually drop hol inn

U shortlisted any other venues?

Is Furama City Centre's pricing comparable to Holiday Inn? I shortlisted Grand Copthorne Waterfront too.

Furama is cheaper than hol inn, but min 30tables. GWC is abit out of my budget, if not i would like to have it there too.
Wanted Orchard Hotel but slots taken too bad.

Agreed that GCW was a bit more expensive than the other hotels in the area but with the upcoming wedding show I will take a look at the pricing. Orchard Hotel is not bad too coz of Hua Ting. I'm still deciding on Hol Inn coz the orchid ballroom's ceiling is...quite low. Other than that everything else seems fine.

I have abit of budget contraint due to the amt of tables i will be holding. I took Furama City cos the ballrm is pillarless and its one and only ballrm. The package also covers what we want, also due to the hot dates most of the hotels alrdy taken.
If u have less tables then prolly can take up a pricier place. GWC quite gd i have attended wedding there before :)

Due to number of tables and date availability, I have confirmed the venue at Furama City Centre instead.
For bridal I have signed with La Belle Couture :)

For Mooworks, VG and PG cost 4800 SGD but got attractive discount as my fiancé used them during our proposal day.

For PG, i like Chris Ling, Kent Wong n Mooworks. Can go and add them in facebook. Love their photos.

Hi Babe, congrats :) Which Ballroom are you intending to get? There is a wedding show this Sunday, you might be able to get good deals there.

Here's what's in my package:-

Invitation Cards: 80%
Carpark: 40%
Alcohol: Either Free flow beer with one bottle of wine per table OR Free flow wine with one barrel of beer (TBA nearer to date)
Rooms: 1 night bridal suite and 2 x 1 night normal room (3 rooms is total)
Waiver of all corkage charges

We also requested to use slightly bigger tables for the VIP table (normal table is about 4ft, VIP is about 6ft).

What promo were you entitled for?
