Hello all,

I'm a July 5th bride to be, just booked our dinner banquet last week with Hotel Fort Canning, Grand Marquee.

Haven't got started on bridal gowns, photography etc.

Hope we can all share ideas here!

Hi Eiko, yes I had took up the package with Rico a Mona over the weekends. And I took the basic package. They dun provide actual PG now.

We made an appointment and was served by Sinny. So I guessed she will be our coordinator. How about yourself? My friend got her gown from Rico last October. Went to a few others before deciding on them. Sinny mentioned there is a new collection in Mar/Apr and told me to make an appt in Mar to start choosing the gowns.

We took the package without PS because we prefer to take casual shoot like living shots so we are getting an external photographer to do it, hence we don't need the gowns and all. On actual day, we'll take pics around Fort Canning. Anyway hope u will find your perfect gowns!

I think Sinny can recommend you some gowns. She picked out a gown for me to try during the appointment and it was one of the better ones. I'm more worried about choosing en evening gown. Lol. Been to few places and I must say evening gowns are quite limited in variety.

Hi Eiko, we took the package without pre wedding shoot. This was the only package she shared with me because that's what we wanted. We tried on 3 gowns and a few coats.

These are optional and payable separately to the mua. My friend's mua was Amanda and she prefers the natural look. Turned out quite nice. Heard Milly is not bad too from another graduated bride.

Yeah, I thought of getting her to do another look for my 2nd March in but I have not check the additional costs of doing it. Most of MUAs don't do trial during weekend which I find it so wasteful to have the makeup during weekday evening after work (provided I don't take leave to do the trial) and remove it within 1-2 hours, couldn't feel whether the makeup is long lasting or not as I have oily skin...

Does Pierre Ooi do VG? We were considering Pierre Ooi too but we didn't know if he does VG. We saw both at BOWS. I think we were considering between Edmund Leong and Unique Colours it was a tough fight but we decided to use Unique Colours coz of their aerial filming.

For VG, you can try Qing Dynasty? I saw their works and quite interesting too.

Hihi, have you booked your venue yet? Bridal? I used my makeup trial for my ROM on a separate day which was ok, it took 2 hours, you don't need to do anything but sit down and relax. I think the makeup lasted about at least 4 hours? of course the lipstick was gone first but the eyes makeup still stayed.

My friend engaged a 4 person live band, didn't ask the cost. But I think it's appropriate if you have a large stage, if not its a bit hard to squeeze them in one corner. Pro is good entertainment, con is its expensive....but go for it if that's what you really want! How's your wedding prep coming along?

I've got PG and VG already. But need to choose PS gowns, go PS, choose invites. Have tentatively pieced together a guest List. I feel a lot of things coming up but not sure the impact haha.

I sent save the dates thru fb and msgs. Only when they reply yes then i'll follow up with card. I haven't started printing cards yet, gosh.

I went to the printer end Feb and cards will be ready for collection next week. Might be distributing the cards end of April so we are able to have a clearer picture on attendance. We have already informally invited most guests.
