(2015/06) Any June 2015 brides?

I am a June 2015 BTB and am just starting my preparations. Any help will be so appreciated cos im pretty lost now!haha

Hey ger, if you need help in decor/planning, let me know. No additional/hidden charges except for the materials used (eg. paper pom pom, ribbons, etc.) as I'm expanding my portfolio. Did car decor, hand bouquet before. Gg to do reception decor coming Oct as well.

p/s: I'm a 2016 btb.

Hihi, I'm a June 2015 BTB too! Just booked the venue and pre-wedding shoot. Slowly sourcing for actual day photographer, videographer and the other miscellaneous stuff. 11 more months but feels like foooorever!

Have you chosen your venue yet? What do you need help with?

hello @CharYan Im a june bride as well. initially i was quite excited about planning for the wedding initially. but after i've booked the AD gowns etc.. I realized I dont have the motivation to look at other stuff.. June is still so far away!!!
What have you done for your prep?

hello @woshileen ! Wow, you have done most of your prep work... care to share your vendors for all? Let's do a list for the june brides here..

Seems like june is not really a popular month to get married.. isit cos of the "pantang" saying that it's no good to get married in the middle of the year cos it's like "half-half"? June 2015 is actually lunar fifth month right?

Hi sunshinepixels, I've booked my luncheon venue, church and solemniser, AD gown. Going for photoshoot this September. June is not that far away if you would like to do some DIY stuff.

Never heard of that superstition before leh. If u ask me, I'm guessing most ppl avoid June coz it's the school holidays and frens w kids might have made holiday plans and won't be able to attend

Wow your solemniser agreed to a wedding date that's so far away? I've heard quite a few stories from my friends and family of solemnisers who tell them to let them know again when it's 3months to the wedding. Sounds stupid imo because what if by then he's "busy" right?? But since I heard it from a few different people I thought there was some rule that said you had to wait till the last moment to ask them, lol.

Oh dear.. That didn't occur to me since, ignorantly, I don't have kids.. Mine is on 7th June, which is right when the school holidays has just started apparently. Oh shoot. Can only hope that if we inform them earlier, they won't just last minute cancel due to sudden holiday plans. =X

Mind sharing your vendors which you selected? im going photoshoot in oct too.. where are u heading for ur shoot? are u doing any DIY for your wedding?
I'm not good at handicrafts! lol so i am thinking what kind of stuff i can dIY.

I'm a June bride too! I thought the solemnizer won't entertain me if I ask now.. but maybe I should start shortlisting first..

My solemniser is also the church priest so we know him personally. Also, the usual practice is to invite the priest before securing the church venue so we 'booked' him in advance.

My gowns are from Divine Couture. Will be doing a local shoot. Will be making my own ang bao box and some decorative items for the reception. Are you doing a luncheon or dinner? We are hosting a luncheon after the church wedding. Hope it isn't too rush.

Hi June BTB!!!! :) i jus confirm my date and im now a june BTB jus like you girls! :)

I have confirmed my pre-wedding photoshoot and banquet only. I took my prewed from Destino in malaysia coz my gf did hers there and the photos were really nice. :D but it's gonna be a hassle to travel in and out of JB especially when now the toll actually increased. I took their basic package and it cost $3,000 as i want to do my outdoor shoot in Singapore instead of Malaysia.

I am currently looking for the AD photo and video. Thinking of taking up with 12Love. Have anyone heard any feedbacks from them??

Anyway wana congrats all BTBs! :D

Have only thus far confirmed my banquet venue only but now sourcing for bridal boutiques packages. Any recommendations? So many bridal boutiques and all the hard selling.....

Hello all. I'm most prob a June 2015 BTB. Tentatively on 27th June 2015, but need wait till this coming friday to calculate and confirm.
Total lost, start sourcing for venue (Qian Xi Farrer Park) and photographer+videographer. But everything not confirmed.

hey babe, im doing a luncheon. will u be having gate crashing and all? cos im thinking if u have a church wedding, then u prob wont have time for a luncheon. dinner will be safer. u booked ur banquet venue already?

We are not having gate crashing. Booked lunch banquet at Goodwood Park already. Will book a shuttle bus to take guests to hotel after church.

Hi! Congrats to all the ladies here whose wedding is gonna be in just about 9 months' time! :))
I am also a June 2015 bride-to-be. My AD is on 13 June. :)
Planning the pre-wedding shoot to be in Dec. Wedding dinner is at Conrad and got my bridal package at Silhouette (love the gowns they have!).

I am wondering if anyone here knows where I can go to tailor-make the dresses for my jiemeis? I would like them to be in maxi dresses, and the online blogshops don't seem to carry the kind of long dresses I want. The look I am going for is elegance/romance. Any one has any clue? :)

just came back from my photoshoot in taiwan. thumbs up for their awesome service. the photos turned out really pretty too! spent a bomb on the topup of photos though...

for brides whose AD on 27th june, have u selected your AD photographer and videographer yet? i have yet to source for mine..

Htb's brother in law and his partner's company will be in charge of our AD pg and vg so I have already settled it ☺

I went to the road show at vivo...compared the no of gowns given....i only want local shoot so settled with my fren's recommendation...i think the important thing is to look for a good coordinator
I read reviews too...

3088$ excluding gst

Rom make up -go to boutique for it(considered trial make up for wedding) rom dress, groom's jacket, flower

Photoshoot 5 gowns (shld be 4 but becos mine all indoor so she gave 1 more)

Choose 30 pictures for editing and will be given soft copies of them , 12x15" Album 20 pages , mini album, table top framed photo and 16x20" framed photo.

Actual day 1 evening dress 1 gown and 1 tea dress
Groom 3 jackets
Flower

Fathers' jacket x 2
Sister's dress x 1 (i only have 1 sister)

Brother's jacket x 2

I top up 500 for 1 designer gown very very nice

Overall happy with the service. My coordinator is Jenny. So far like her service.

Will be going around the bridal shops on friday. Shall update again on their packages.

Hi all! Just to share.
Friday: went to a few along tanjong pagar road. As I was there around 12 plus, most of the shops just opened. Most shops allowed me to try their gowns.

Something to take note: Digio Bridal told me I had to book 1 week in advance in order to try their gowns! :eek:.

My final stop was Sophia wedding collection. Their service was one of the best! The staff were really friendly and I loved their gowns there. My friends and I were quite impressed.I couldn't make my decision on Friday as my HTB was not with me. They did try to push and convince me to sign on the spot but they didn't become 'scary'

Saturday: went back to Sophia. HTB talked to them and looked at their package and we signed:)!

Going for my fitting 2-3 Wks later as my pre-wedding shoots is in March. Hopefully all goes well and their service remains like this:)
