Are there any Nov12 BTB here??
I've been sourcing for banquets, bs, ps and vs..
so indecisive!can someone give me some advice?

Shortlisted:

BRIDAL SHOP
Le Grand (quite like the gowns and tie with CL studio, just not sure MUA and if photos can be journalistic)
-OR-
Dang/ Amanda Lee/ TWP (lovely gowns n can choose make-up artist, but going ala-carte means more expensive, so dont know if its worth it!)


BANQUET (20-25 tables)
Mandarin Orchard (imperial ballroom with tiers seems unique, but some brides mention troublesome for old folks)
-OR-
Grand Hyatt (seems good, but some mention their sound system not gd, waitress all inexperienced part-timers)


PS/ VG
Moomedia (really like but its quite ex!)
$4800 for pre wed ps
$5000 for 10 hrs ad vg and ps

Hi Jamie, not a Nov bride, but just saw ur post and wanted to say hi

I have a friend who had her wedding at Mandarin Orchard, and her grandma was wheelchair bound so was a bit mafan as it takes more time to reach the venue etc... otherwise it is ok ba.. I attended a wedding at Fort Canning hotel before.. the stairs was worse..

for PG/VG
$4800 for pre wed is from moomedia too? I like their video, it is their forte, but for Photography maybe it is better to go for PG whose forte is in photography.

hha for a moment i was confused.. then I realised that liquidzza and jamie are the same person! I misread, thought you were Nov 2011 bride, turned out is Nov 2012.. haha I think we are all on the 2012 brides thread..

for me moomedia video are their forte.. pics are nice but I like my style of pictures to be more personal..

For MUA, I am considering Little Brush Makeup.. Seen her on my friend wedding. But I might also consider taking the MUA attached to the PG that I already signed up with

For wedding PG, I am going for hendrar.photography. PG is new on the scene but is a registered PG. I really love their pictures as they really take time to make their pictures alive. Personally, I feel that as Hendra work with his girlfriend on his shoots, their couple photos turn out beautifully lovely. But what I love most is their services! They drop me mails now and then to check on my weddign preps so that they are informed about my wedding timeline etc... u can consider them esp when their packages are comprehensively price..

not as expensive as those well known established PG

i'm tentatively a nov2012 btb!shortlisting banquet locations at the moment!having such a headache!seems like there are very few impressive ballrooms around..and when i checked fullerton earlier on for 4 dates, all were tentatively booked..some people can be really fast!

thats all i've done actually, would need alot of help from you babes on the rest..sorry!

I have not book my hotel yet, still shortlisting and visiting ballrooms!Really feel more relieved hearing that I am not the only one who havent book the venue!*phew* everyone else seems to have cfm their venue and bs in 2012 btb thread.

Have you all see see look look on BS and photographers as well? I am having a headache deciding too! Too many choices! I didn't know going ala-carte for BS, MUA and PS can be sooo expensive for the "well-known" ones..

I've already shared my shortlist earlier on. How about yours? Maybe we can all discuss about it if we happen to hearsay about it!

minmin: wow, seems like you have really good comments on Hendra. Did they show you more of their works when you meet up? I would like to see more as I thought their fb didnt have many....And I am very particular how the album cover looks!i want nice nice album material, cover and layout for pre-wed!hehehe

they show me a slideshow of their works and an album.. also the basic coffeetable album included in the package for AD.. for me I prefer it as they look classy. personally dont like those thick thick albums

for album, they say depends on budget. got a list of prices for different materials such as leatherbound album more expensive etc.

and if u really have the budget, can opt for their deluxe album. the album makers is the one used by lightedpixels etc. but the album Hendra said starts from more than 1k. can really customise the look and feel of the album

haha no probs. if u like to see the deluxe album Hendra was talking about, can go facebook search for cosmic eggs. unfortunately, they dont do for others. they only do albums for their professional photographers.. but their albums are really exquisite from the ones i saw on their facebook.. explains why one book starts from 1k.

Hi there, all BTBs,

I'm pre-selling my Kua (about M size). It is very beautiful with gold & silver embroidery and raised dragon & phoenix.

I bought this brand new from a shop called Kam Fat in HK for S$600 last December. I have used this once for outdoor photoshoot (hence the photos) and I will be using it again for the tea ceremony on 24 July 2011. Therefore, the kua will only be available after 25 July.

My height is 1.55m and waist 32", but the skirt is adjustable for height and waist. My chest is 34".

With the kua, I can include the kua shoes (size 5 with 1" heels, will be brand new, not the ones in the photo), a very pretty wire hairpiece, and a red hibiscus hairpiece.

i also book my BS & hotel liao.. been sourcing for one since we secure our bto flat in 2009.. that is why once they open for booking for 2012, we know wat we wan..

I'm a Nov 2012 btb too. I have booked my boutique with Sophia Wedding and banquet with Mandarin Oriental. I'm still sourcing for a VG though. Saw the works for Academy Videos, Unique Colours & Moomedia. Any comments...?

i think Unique Colours is good! Afew of my friends and relatives took them and all their express highlights were very interesting and very different from the rest. Think they are quite popular. They give out instant prints as well which makes us all very excited.. haa

I am amanda lee bride: They are not pushy and they are all very nice people..They use quality and good MUA. You can check with them with their partner photographer like bryan jean photography! maybe got discount.. All the designer in Amanda lee are good and with quality. they have MTM package and OTR package.. However their package are just gown and make up and flower.. make appt with them and they will be happy to show you their gown.

Le Grand: can be more expensive than amande lee depending on the gown u choose..

Grand Hyatt: tried their food and it is pretty bad. however, they hace nice gallery area.

Grand Park City Hall: nice food!

Bridal Boutique
Sophia Wedding - Ann is my coordinator and she's a very nice lady. If you like victorian style of wedding gowns, this is the place to go to

Banquet
Oriental Hotel - Eve is ur lady. She was recommend by my cousin who held his wedding there 2 yrs ago. She's extremely helpful and very prompt whn replying your emails. Enjoyed my meet ups wif her.
$988++/table ( Weekday Dinner )

Videography
Academy Video - Was actually deciding between Academy Vid & Unique Colours. Decided on Academy mostly because of price. They're hvg a $2/day discount till the wedding day. Our AD photography is actually covered by Sophia but we still tk a package frm Academy which consists of AD VD, Pre-wed VD and AD PS. Since we hv AD PS w album frm Sophia, a discount was given by Academy for opting out of the album. Our package was originally 4710. We paid a total of 3200 aft all e discount.

I am interested in oriental as well and went to take a look, however, it seems that the march in is from the middle of the ballroom, hence, it seems that the distance is quite short. Any idea if the march in can be done from the door where the guests come in?

Nope...the march in is from the door where the guests comes in. However, if u hv alot of tables ur stage might not be at the end of the ballroom so ur march in ll be shorter. if nt, it shouldnt be much of a prob

Hi everyone, I'm new here... just joint today. I'm really nervous, my boyfriend just proposed to me 2 week back and we're planning a wedding next year. May I know what is the standard rate for the entire package thing? Or is anyone here going for budget wedding? I hope it can be around 2.5k and below for whole thing. Is it ok? And also what should be included for the package or wedding.

I already got a contact for makeup artist who does whole wedding including photoshoot makeup and actual day for $500+ only. but how much should a photographer cost?
