Just sharing a very bad experience at dress me up..heard abt their rom packages, n went down to take a lot.. The lady there wasn't too friendly. Think she was rushing off to do something, so she kept shaking her brunch of keys when i was browsing the dresses.. And her answers were one-liners.. When i asked how often they have new dresses, she said 'it depends'. :-( so disappointing ...

Anyone else got any suggestions for ROM venues? I went to some of the places to take a look, but end up didnt get any venue that will make us feel real comfortable.. We are looking at around 50pax, budget will be ard 2k-2.5k..

Hi Ivy, I will be holding my ROM ceremony at CVH rooftop poolside

The view there is nice and the place can hold up to 90 pax. However, the package starts from $68++ for Hi-Tea buffet..so it may exceed your budget.

My ROM on 22022011 but i just started last month.
Maybe cos i planned for a simple one in my new home with immediate families.
I got the bridal package with any research done. ROM dress & jacket were added into the package while the trial makeup can be used during the ROM day. So i guessed that is settled.

Hi Ivy, you may want to look at grand copthorne waterfront for your rom venue. i am having my rom there next sat the package should only slightly exceed your budget and i love the venue coz of the riverside view whereby u can have a ps after the ceremony.

I ROMed a month ago at Grand Hyatt's poolside garden. It's a private area and it looks great after been decorated. I thought the photos turned out AMAZING and I was very happy with their service. hi all, i am new here.

planning to ROM on 11.11. will be skipping the wedding dinner. but most likely will hv a simple customary on the same day. Have not booked any venue for the ROM, but it gonna be a simple one with just our immediate family. so hopefully can get a private room in some chinese restaurant or hotel. i have just confirmed my MUA and as i dun think i wanna wear the wedding gown on the day since no dinner, i am planning to wear a short ROM gown (might get MTM piece from a shop recommended by my friend) Have not get any JP yet as the one i wrote to told me that nov is still too early
After the ROM/customary, we are flying to NZ for our pre-wed shot with a professional photographer and will plan to stay there for some time as a honeymoon. Still planning to get a photography for solemnization, gowns for pre-wed shoot and wedding bands

Thanks wob8ly...the ROM went on well & now everything was back to normal.....
After the ceremony at my new home, we went Imperial treasure in Crowne Plaza hotel at Changi airport. Their food received quite good comments from my families. So i would recommend those who have bigger budget to go there.

Just had my ROM about 2 weeks back..I did a costing list for my actual wedding as well as ROM, if u need, I can pass to you as a guide.. mine's sort of "ala carte", I hired different vendors for food, logistics, florist, PG etc and of cos a venue that does not provide all these..

if u r planning for something like cupcakes&cream, then it's a load off ur shoulder cos venue/deco/food are all in.

need to get the date and choose ur JP first! then wait for the date to come nearer, then BOOK ur JP! =D

my PG for ROM is about $380, we got the deal at end 2009, together w our AD PG..

My AD photography package (1 photographer and 2 videographer) has quite a few of stuff ($3.8k): childhood montage, same day video, same day photo slideshow, instant print, 80page storybook album, all soft copies returned, 2 DVD of AD video/pics. but yah, that's end'09 price too..

Hi Joyle, If you take up a wedding package from them then yes they will do everything for you. What I did was just borrow the garden space so I had to do everything else myself...
