Theresa: Not yet....i will be staying with both sides of the family so need to get two mattress cum bed frame....so budget is only a few hundred dollars per mattress cum bed frame....thinking of going mattress center to take a look.

Stuck at selecting a videographer for the AD. What do you gals think of Derrick Yiu Videography VS iBenStudio? I know there is a huge price difference. =/

Derrick Yu videography i'm not sure...but i feel iben is more for those who just wan someone to video with not much expectation (due to the pricing). I meet up with iben before he mention if we like any particular style can show him and he see if he can do it but i prefer someone who have his own ideas....

We actually really like Firewerkz.. But they are just simply too expensive - Damage is about $4k w SDE..

You have any recommendations? We don't intent to spend more than $2k for VG.

Just happen to find him through forum. Choose him because he is one which me and my htb feel that we can communicate with and he has his own ideas...and he gives me and my htb the impression that he is doing it out of passion not purely for bread and butter. You have to meet up with him personally cause he doesn't upload any videos in website.....But given "his background" you will have that kind of confidence in him. I only get to know who he really is when he showed me his works.

Mine is just half day video. Initially thought base on the pricing on his website will be out of our budget but surprising the price he quote us we are comfortable with it.

I like firewerkz too. Enquire before. But out of budget and plus mine is a simple wedding lunch, no gatecrash no march in, no need highlights to be express ....so no point engaging expensive ones....

I guess when choose videographer it's the 3 basic criteria, the pricing, the works and the videographer himself.

Lyslyn: I guess for me the events flow together.. n my 'march-in' would be just for the solemnisation ceremony.. my guests r the same ppl throughout as well.. it makes more sense for me to wear the wedding gown from the beginning.. depends on how ur prog for the day is but I dun c y u can't wear the wedding gown for ROM if u wan to..

Btw, my mua will do my makeup before ceremony and then come to the venue later for touch up & new hair do.. its included in the package... no additional cost..

Lyslyn: my MUA doin the first makeup & hair at the hotel then she will leave & i'll proceed to the venue.. venue at a restaurant, not in hotel.. MUA will come to venue later to help change hair n touch up makeup.. won't have a 2nd 'march in' since its a very small group of ppl n very small venue.. just change & go mingle with the guests..

Did u manage to find a new emcee?

Gerald: maybe u can try moving pics for vg.. a fren recommended him... his price is quite reasonable n quality of video seems ok as well.. we didn't engage the more famous vg since they r out of our budget.. like Ee, our events are quite simple.. only half a day, no gate crash, no need to show video at the dinner, etc.. so figured we shouldn't spend too much on vg..

Wendy: Good morning! I went to City nails at NEX, but I show them the design I want. There is an app I downloaded from Itune had has lots of nails design or you can ask them to think of something. The ladies there are friendly not over pushy about package. Especially good for me, cos my job dun allow me to have the privilege of growing nails long and wearing nail colors.

Shhie- hi! I'm a canto bride, with teochew husband. there's a shop call dreamweavers at people's park at level 2. They have cater to canto and I think the shop owners speak ? Hainan. You can go there take a look they are friendly pol and price cheap too

Any BTBs can share whether when you mail your wedding invitation cards, do you use the standard local postage stamps?

I was informed by S'Post that wedding cards (typical weight and standard envelope size), are chargeable at 50cents, NOT the standard postage stamp.

Has any BTBs used the standard local postage stamps and had your cards successfully mailed to the recipients?
