purple bottle: u haf finished writing the invites already? Mine is just a week away from yours but invites are still in the process of printing. Hope I am not too behind time in everything. It's not very easy to confirm the guest list though. =(
 


bebelee: yup i've used 2 weekends to finish writing them. Haven't posted them out though because i'm still missing some addresses. Printing won't take very long, so you don't have to worry!

And yes, confirming the guest list was problematic. I think our other headache will come when we collate responses and do up the seating plan.
 
purplebottle: my AD is one week after yours but I've only printed my friends' invites but not my traditional invites... glad to hear ur progress so tat i can pace myself! hehe.. when r u going to give out e invites?

im kinda procrastinating on a lot of stuff... like whether we wanna have instant print for guests, the way i wan the guest to write their wishes since im thinking of having something else instead of guest book... so many things undecided!

i need to rent a wedding car too... and yet to settle my florist.. stress...

pinkglove: yah i am very stressed out too. But let's jia you together. I just finished my discussions with my florist and going for food tasting n trial make up next week.

how about a guestbook in the form of a "wishing tree"? i'm diy-ing my own guestbook but haven't found time to actually do it. htb wanted instant prints too but i thought it wasn't necessary.

i've also yet to settle my flowers for the AD but i'm not very particular so it should be quite easily done. SIL doesn't provide florist?

bebelee: oh dear! but at least they've informed you way in advance so you can plan!

SIL has their partner florist but I'm not taking florist from them so gonna find my own n im kinda particular over flowers .. hehe..

bebelee: yup! we gotta work hard tgt... I'm gonna try confirm my bouquet these two weeks...
 
purplebottle: Yah abit sad cos some of them are good friends.

I have seen some innovative ideas such as the couple leaving a vintage typewriter for the guests to type their well wishes on, then the cards are deposited into a diy-ed box or bird cage. Very nice.

Pinkglove: U r from sil too? High five! I have not settled my AD bouquet too. Caroline told me to go to 86 creation or poppy. But i have been lazy to go meet them. Usually the flowers need to be collected by hubby one day befre AD? We live in the east so a bit troublesome for us if we choose them. Cos i was thinking we will have a dozen other things to settle one day before AD. Thinking if we should find a suitable one in the east. But it's a bit weird that we took sil package but in the end we only take the gowns cos i booked my own MUA etc. Haha...

hmm, one of the florists TWP ties up with is in the east. You might want to check it out. It's greenpoint.

Oh i always liked the bouquets frm greenpoint when they are featured in bridal magazines but heard that ala carte may be exp. But it's at joo chiat so it's near my house. =p One more to consider is 85 flowers i guess. I think I will prob go meet them sometime soon too. Alternatively, I will ask my hotel florist. =)
 
Y do we have to look for florist? I thought it's included in the bridal pkg? Am i missing out something?

yah it is included in the package but we r supposed to go down to the florist and discuss what we want with them and then collect the flowers one day before AD. At least that's the practice in silhouette. So we were thinking of finding one near our homes instead. =)

Hi gals, time really flies! All of a sudden it is already April!

I just bought my mummy to Rose of Sharon to buy her two dresses, you could consider too if your mummies need dresses too. Their dresses are like 1-2 for each size so wouldn't risk duplicated..BTW gals, do you bring or buy ur mother-in-law's dresses?? I wanted to ask but I am not sure if I should..

As I see the house reno getting done soon, I feel really hmm, beyond words, like couldn't believe this is happening..

do you arrange any march-in rehersal before the actual day ? i thinking of brining my jiemei down to view and let them have a feel, but i scare it kua zheng. what u ladies think ?

How about getting your jie-meis there earlier (like 3-4pm) and request to do the rehearsal to the banquet manager?
 
will have my 1st jie mei meeting session next week, will check with them. cant believe it may.. going to do my diy ang bao box. anyone of you do diy ang bao box? am thinking going to daiso tomm...
 
I've met up with my jie meis to discuss on the schedule and gate crashing for that day, will be meetin up with them again to prepare the stuffs needed... ^^

I've also started on my ang bao box, hopefully can complete by this week...think I'll need to make a trip to daiso too!

Can't believe it's only about a month left to our big day!

I check out Daiso, there is no big box... my friend suggest me to use the A4 Paper box and deco myself.. You might want to check with your banquet if they provide Ang Bao Box , some do provide.
 
Oh, I've already bought my boxes from Daiso some time back. Prob they've run out of big boxes now. I'm just missing items to deco the box. My hotel does provide Ang Bao Box, but I'd prefer to DIY my own as I have a design in mind already. ^^

mine's 10th june...a month more to go! feeling the stress as a lot of things I'll DIY, so racing against time n yet to buy all the materials...how's yr progress with the box? i'll be having another jiemei meeting nearer the end of the month =P

haha, i've yet to register as my new place will only be ready in sep/oct...but yup, u gotta register yr new address at the police post when u've shifted to yr own place... =)
