hi all, want to ask how feasible it is to squeeze rom and wedding lunch tog on the same day? the dinner prices for most of the hotels that I like are a bit too ex. so exploring lunch instead

hi happybride,

i think the rom is very fast. over in just 10 mins? many ppl do their solemisation b4 dinner starts. so dun see why lunch will be more difficult.

Gen,

i did my solemisation 1 year aft my bf proposed. and customary will be 1 year aft solemisation. but i think many ppl do it much faster.

happybride: it will be very rushed, after ur hubby fetches u in the morning to go tea ceremony, u wun have much time left for ROM. That's why I had my ROM earlier this yr first, mine's lunch too.

My parents opposed the idea of wedding lunch after consulting them. Sigh. Cos was looking at merchant court but the dinner date (12/12) was already taken for dinner. So will need to look for other hotels preferably with a nice place for solemnization. Any recommendations?

As swissotel stamford quite strict on their perks, i only managed to get 30 tables instead of the standard package of 35 tables. =)

for me, i just made deposit for AD photography and went for my first appointment for house.

when do u girls plan to for first appointment at BS?

Happy Girl: Just realise that we will be having our AD on the same day =)

Just confirm the venue for my banquet yesterday with Orchard Hotel.

For first appointment with BS, think it's best to cut out pictures of gowns before you go. Are you having MTM gown?

I am so going to die lar!! hahaha.. I've been sitting on it for very long. Was thinking of doing my research at the start of 2010 instead since it's still quite long to Dec 2010 eh?

i was advised that most prob can go with a gf 1st and then when you're more or less confirmed then bring your man along?

sigh~ i really hate to organise and go thru all the BS cos it's so mentally tiring, gotta take note of the gowns &amp; price and perhaps, entertain the pushy sales people... haa~

My Hubby and I are planning to hold our AD in Dec/10. However, we have not gotten any auspicious date from my in-laws.. It seems that many hotels have been taken up for Dec/10. Do you have any good advisor to help us to propose an ideal date?

I am not going to be a Dec bride anymore.. cos the only auspicious date is 26th for me for the month of Dec 2010 and the hotel is booked for that day.. I am most likely going to be a Jan 2010 bride...
