Hie everyone!!! sorrie been MIA for quite some time...hehe but...wow! so many BTBs for Oct'10 and seems like 23rd is also a really hot date! Congrats everyone!!!=)

Alittle update of much I have done (or how little tts done!=P)...Luncheon venue will most probably be at Goodwood Park if all else goes well...AD photographer is Gilbert of 9Frames...Really need advice for BS...anyone has experience or heard of My Bridal Room? Can share your opinions with me? Or any good BS tt comes highly recommended?!=P

Actually I am at a dilemma now cos dunno should I do things ala carte for pre-wedding photoshoot and gowns and stuffs...Really like 9Frames' photography and would love to have Gilbert to take my pre-wedding...but dunno ixxit going to be really expensive...Any ala carte BTBs here can help?! Appreciate any advice!!!=)

mybridalroom have good reviews.. been there wif the other brides.. sales person very nice, patience and most importantly, not hardselling.. go down to the boutique n have a feel =)

last night my mum saw me packing the gown, she asked me to keep it nicely so i can wear it next yr.
my husband was there and in frt of him, i told her my FIL said NO to black. then she was like -_-|| "but it's not entirely black mah... so should be ok wat." we sort of like stress my husband to talk to his dad. sigh, haha...
but it was not planned. **kuah kuah**

ala carte is gd to hv if u got the budget and u can get everything (gown, pg, mua) that u prefer…. but need a lot of resources…
 
ya, agreed that other than $$$, u must have the luxury of time to do alot of sourcings too...
not juz looking at portfolio or feedbacks from ppl. but meeting them personally

I'm new here. Having 2 dinners, Malaysia's dinner will be 23rd Oct. Singapore's one will be 4 Nov.

Have booked the SG venue only. Other things still looking, so really need advice for BS. Any good BS tt comes highly recommended?! Can share what is your BS pacakge?

uncle quek is the decision maker... so go nego with him for the best pkg... my understanding is if got existing/current MBR BTB recommended some1 to sign up their pkg, she will get some free photos/pose for the album... so the more u recommend ppl to sign up, the more pics u will hv in ur album...
u can go to MBR thread to read and ask ard... but this thread is very very active....

actually there's no hard or fast rules on highly recommended BS... it all depends on individual... whether the btb likes the style of gowns, the service, the pg styles, etc...

for the meet up, u got to go to 2010 BTB thread to self-intro (if u r 1st timer) and add ur name & preferred days in the list...

price in terms of exchange rates r def better than in sg.... if u sign up for bs in sg, most likely u got to pay extra for 2 days and dun kw if bs will allow u to rent the gown for ur msia wedding...

you mean you ladies booked your banquet venues without doing guest lists? mine's all done before I booked the venue o.O or did i get it wrong? somemore we were thinking 23rd is so hot date .. some pple might not be able to make it so tat's why we did a count of all the relatives and close friends first to see how many tables it will come up to.

Missy & dyeann: yah, mus ah ga ah ga know the estimate no. of guests lah b4 booking the banquet... hee just tt i haven't do the detailed one... + - sure got MIA guests on the AD as well to b included so dun worry too much, Missy!
 
oh ... i very blur thats why i type all the guest lists out and did my relatives and his relatives' seating arrangement already hahhaha

and passing it around my cousins and my brother's AD is 4 mths before mine.
 
missy: changing venue will be a real headache, u gotta look for ppl to transfer ur package and most often than not, have to lose some $$$ in the process. Then after that still gotta search for alternative venue, may risk not getting it cos of ur 'hot' date.

See if u can cut away some in ur list, that's what I'm gonna do also haha.

cos most venues should be taken by now. and we dun wanna go beyond $1k per table cos sure make big losses.. given that our relatives are huge nos!

im trying to get my hotel coordinator on how many tables MAX i can go.. i dun want the ballroom to be too cramp oso. sigh, will definitely not change venue le, will juz stick to it. but will reduce the list of guests. those hi-bye ones will be shift to the "B" lists. in case "A" lists ppl can make it, we can get "B" lists to cover, haha... *fingers crossed*
 
Missy: yah, those nt so close friends put on pending loh den hsewarming invite again lor... actually, most pple will understand lah... i got close friends really do limited tables like 10+ only n never invite much friends which we r totally cool... I mean nt invite u to wedding doesn't mean sever friendship ties so childish right?
