yup..i got my wedding giveaway cakes at savoury fare. I tried the cakes before i ordered from them. Very delicious and rich, modernity. The cakes arent expensive.
$11 per box for a whole 400 gram chocolate truffle and $10 per box for a whole 400gram rasberry or blueberry cake. The $10 per box comes with a xi word. The box has a special sticker for both of your hubby and your names that says Wedding of _____ & _____. Sweet.
For tat quality of cake to be at this price..is totally a great deal. I wont pay for normal walnut or butter cake at bengawan at $6.50 cos its so not worth.

looks like everyone is busy like crazy. For me, I have relax perhaps my portion are mostly done. Only left for my hubby to tie up loose ends. For me the only thing is still uncertain is the 'sickening' table arrangement sitting and attendance. Some friends still are changing their minds and dunno if they can make it.

yup same. My wedding on thursday too. Thus i banging on the fact that ppl will drink less and finish up food faster so next day can go to work. But of cos since there is only fri..very likely ppl will take leave to get a long weekend. I too has an additional wedding gift for my guests but i giving away at my parents' house during the tea ceremony buffet lunch. Thanks the jiemeis and brothers and relatives for helping out in the day. Its a nice towel wrapped into cakes like slices. I bought them from Robinsons last yr. It is different from those gift shops as this is specially for wedding, the wrappers are all printed with love poems. Suit the wedding feel a lot.

Thanks for the description. I am old fashion sort, I prefer mini or assorted cakes as giveaways hehe... well, their mini cakes looks nice too. Am considering over the contact grace provided and yours. Both same, 12 mini cakes at $9 per box. =)
Didn't know that many of u had extra gifts. I only prepared gifts for my sister. Am packing a small touch up kit for them which will include mini lip gloss, mini eyeshadow, mini hand lotion and etc. =) Am now sourcing for small and pretty tote bag or something like that to hold the items for each sister.

I think it depends on how you want to wear it, and also the proportion of the size of the wearer's head against the size of the tiara.
If you want to wear it tilted, then perhaps a smaller one would be more apt. If it's for a centrepiece on your hairdo, 10cm by 5cm seems quite alright to me.

cosyouaremygal, I have tried the cakes from Chocz Confectionery too. They are yummy too! So you can be assured of the quality.
I am not intending to get anything for my sisters. Just gonna give them Ang Pow. Let them buy their own ba, cos' my 3 sisters have very different tastes, I can't get one type to suit all 3 of them.
I ever read of people having early bird lucky draw. They hold the lucky draw for those who arrive and register themselves between 7pm to 730pm. This is to encourage punctuality. For me, I will give an early bird gift for the first 60pax to arrive and register themselves.
Anyone here have any 'entertainment' program during the wedding dinner itself? Like engaging some singers or I don't know what else there is.

Hey Nat, yes I would think we'll be working with e same timeline. We are contemplating to get resale apartment in those areas or newton. It'll depend on what is up for grabs when the time comes. Will need to dig for the package details, will email u in a while

Hey tulips, we went to see waterfront too but decided that it is not a gd choice cos traffic is totally stagnant during peak hours!

i initially nearly ordered the traditional type of mini assorted cakes. But after trying it..it taste rather yucky..cos i realised it uses butter cream. I prefer fresh cream cos it is much healthier.

Nope..no entertainment program. The main highlight is the military march in. Theme is classic. So very prim and proper. haha.

Seems tat most of ya going for sending out cakes to relatives. Guess im more lazy, haha... sending out invitation cards together with cake vouchers.
For thanking my helpers, i will be treating them to a nice dinner after my wedding. Wont be giving out any gifts as they will be having Ang Baos during my AD and a nice dinner after my AD.

I know what you are talking about, apparently, some can be quite nice. Maybe I will make a trip to savouryfare tmr to try.
Most likely be taking from them as it's nearer to where we are staying.
As for entertainment, my mum is asking me if I am going to have a band. I told her I have no budget. She's quite disappointed.
Then again, it's my wedding. I have no other gifts for my guest as well except the wedding favor. =)

I have ask the hotel to pipe in only instrumental music. My march in music are all orchestra theme. I trying to cut down cos i scared as the days come nearer i adding more stuff to it making it complicated.

haha.. thanks girls. I'm still worried abt putting on weight! Last week was a lapse week for me cos had guests in town, ate like nobody's business.
