ROM will be 1 week before banquet.
Now we're trying to negotiate with the hotel to reduce our minimum tables of 20. I realise from the forum that there was a couple who signed up the same ballroom with minimum tables of 16 at last week's wedding show!
My bf's tables have fallen from 10 to 6 now. He's over-confident sometimes LOL. My side can still meet my estimated target of 10.

Rach < what i meant by cleaner is, no hairy feel... when mense come its cleaner no more mess sticky to the hair and so on...its just bare if you know what i mean... I go to Spa Haven at Amoy St...
SotongLet: Thanks for compiling our data and making it easier to compare. Was seriously too lazy to dig up the thing, and feels like such a hassle to update it! Anyway, why you say Col 3:12-15 given to you, you don't know whether to laugh or cry? I think quite nice mah. It's customised, you scared the pastor is implying you all complain a lot ah...Hehhh...Anyway, rather than 1 Cor 13 all the time!

And the threads are moving so fast!!trying to catch up with the topics..
I had a wonderful day on 11 Nov! It was just the perfect day ever! The weather was great and everything went on very smoothly.
The wedding banquet was such a success as almost all out guests turned up and we even had to open another reserved table. I think our guests brought their friends/relatives along. Also, our friends commented that our dinner banquet was one of the most well prepared one they ever attended. Almost everyone reached before 8pm and dinner started promptly and ended promptly too (think before 1030pm.. didn't wear watch though, not sure exact time). We saw some of hubby's friends/colleagues enjoying & toasting to themselves, almost in their own world and didn't want to leave. We were really happy seeing our guests enjoy themselves too. =P
I was pretty nervous on stage when i needed to give the thank-you speech... then went hubby's place change to kua
then went grandma's house (upon request by grandma) to pray ancestors
went back home for tea ceremony
ended at about 2pm!
Then somemore got to go back hubby's place return one basket (got oranges etc)..
After that rushed to hotel!
But the gatecrash was quite overwhelming cos hubby and bros drove off when asked to do some tekan stuff. .i stayed 1st floor..so easy to go off...all of us panicked! when met my hubby, i asked him where they went.. they drove one round and came back. Those naughty boys!
And the threads are moving so fast!!trying to catch up with the topics..
I had a wonderful day on 11 Nov! It was just the perfect day ever! The weather was great and everything went on very smoothly.
The wedding banquet was such a success as almost all out guests turned up and we even had to open another reserved table. I think our guests brought their friends/relatives along. Also, our friends commented that our dinner banquet was one of the most well prepared one they ever attended. Almost everyone reached before 8pm and dinner started promptly and ended promptly too (think before 1030pm.. didn't wear watch though, not sure exact time). We saw some of hubby's friends/colleagues enjoying & toasting to themselves, almost in their own world and didn't want to leave. We were really happy seeing our guests enjoy themselves too. =P

having my GDL this coming Sunday, hope will get back the 'getting married' feel!
meimei, the cake shop gave us 4 APs for use on our AD..

Stay: Thanks for your wishes earlier on! I had a great time! Promised to share my experiences at nail bar. The service is quite good and they provide OSIM massage chairs. People there are quite friendly and the lady staff told me they used to specialise in bridal mani/pedi. But do remember to check out the price first =)Can give it a try!

Just a quick info. FOR GDL cake distributing. Some families pratcise cake distributing on both sides (GUY & GER) some only ger side. Normally to save time the guy will get his parent n go distributing while the girl will do the same to her relatives. 1 advise plan your route early and let your relative know when u are coming. MY relative sent me on wild goose chase from east coast to hougang when he appear to be at work and not at home as a result waste alot of gasoline. HOwever happy distributing the cake..

happiness>strip is not bad lah. I found it cleaner than spa haven. Confirmed no double dipping cos I saw her throw away all the ice-cream sticks. With spa haven, was v surprised to see her redip the stick. Also didn't feel as pain cos they use hard wax on the more sensitve parts unlike spa haven that uses soft wax everywhere. But spa haven is cheaper.

I told my hotel coordinator that we have problem hitting the 20 min tables etc. I also realised from forum that there were a few couples who managed to book the same ballroom at minimum 16 tables at the recent wedding showcase on 2nd August 2008.
I asked my hotel if there was any room for negotiation on lowering the minimum tables for our banquet? She gave a straight NO without any room of negotiation to exchange the 4 unused tables for 3K+ vouchers or what.
Today I'm feeling pissed for the 1st time in this whole year of wedding preparation! LOL
I don't mind her rejecting my request but she needs not be so rude.

YL < Spa Haven uses hard wax too... Not soft wax... maybe u mistaken... the reason y I con't with them is also bcos I find the gal that always do for me, she is very fast... and quite painless...

The girl who did it for me told me that's how you tell the diff between hard wax and soft wax. Soft wax need cloth, hard wax don't need. N I remember at Spa Haven they used cloth...

YL < yup... i have been doing my brazilian with them for 2 yrs...and all the while it has been hard wax... no cloth strip.... the wax will be applied onto the area of removal... then the wax will harden and then they will proceed to strip off... yes no cloth strip.... I always look for this gal, Irene... she's very fast...
