Eunice: it is quite stressed to bake cos my mum is a perfectionist. A little bit not nice only, she will ask me to do other stuff while she continue. So I always end up doing measuring (which may be wrong also!) or doing the more mundane stuff. Baking is her hobby too, just that she doesn't do breads, muffins or cupcakes. Cos she doesn't like them.

providencia, ya, this is probably the design tat I'm going for. Like this coz the design is sort of everlasting. This is actually the piece tat I've tried on during my gown selection on last Thur. And it's good tat the train is long coz my ballroom has a long march-in. I ask your opinion. Shd I get the designer to MTM something similar to this? Or shall I juz take this OTR and MTM my evening gown instead? Becoz if I MTM the WG, I can't have such long train if I don't want to pay extra.

Don't think I'm going for full lace coz that's gonna have a very mature look. Wat else do you think I can make it more outstanding?

Hi florabliss, my WG is of similar cut but the sides are open with criss cross ribbon. Very hard to describe in words. But always remember, less is more. Simplicity is beauty.

Maybe can check with ur BS whether they allow you to take photos of yourself in the 2 EGs using HP to let you decide which is better for you? They will definitely reject cameras but HP should not be so bad right? Or do it discreetly using HP when they step away?

the gown indeed looks classic....and the train is long!

Do you get to keep the EG if you mtm it?
If you decide to mtm a similar WG, what are the changes you want to make?
Personally i think i'll go for mtm EG if the WG i like is something which can be found OTR.
Maybe you can check if the designer can add more details per your wishes onto the OTR EG to make it the perfect gown for you? How much is the extra top-up for the WG to have such a long train?

I'll be posting up some of the EG gown types that I like on multiply soon...still checking out the mags....

a long veil will complement a WG which does not have a very long train.. when i was choosing my gown, my designer showed me how lovely it can be. If the WG is relatively simple esp at the train, you can choose a veil which intricate details and this beautifies the whole appearance

Flora I agree with Jac.. I went for OTR WG cos to MTM the exact same gown, I would have to pay about additional $1k. So unless you are going to make drastic changes to your MTM WG or you dont mind OTR WG, then I say you should go for this gown.. It's really classic

Jac, nope I don't get to keep the EG. Though the 2 that I've shortlisted are nice, they lack the Wow effect. But tat WG tat I tried had tat effect. Tat's why I'm contemplating to MTM the EG instead. Maybe to the design I've attached?

Even if I were to MTM WG, the change will be minor loh. Just change the straight back to a slight V back like the pic attached below. Then maybe the colour to off-white coz the OTR one is slightly yellowish. If like tat, still ok to MTM or take OTR?

Kai ling, since u like the flat so much I think u can consider buying it.. I find that it is not easy to find a house that is to our liking.. I also just bought my 4room flat recently even though the cov is quite ex.. but no choice coz me and my hb like the location and house.. furthermore, we have been looking for flats around the area for quite some time already. So once we saw this one that we like we only spend two or three days to consider and we just bought it.. haha.. fast right? Try to do your valuation early in case it start to increase again..

Rach, we need to pay $10 at the entrance for the vehicle.. But for botanical gardens there is no entrance fee needed.. thanks for the long explanation.. I read twice before i understand about the cov thing.. haha.. but now I have a better understanding le..

Kirei, I am currently using body contour.. I sign up their package last year.. can’t remember the price le.. but I always go for their couple massage with Jacuzzi.. environment quite good.. 1 hr massage then half hr Jacuzzi.

Jrgal, remember not to drink too much water before you sleep.. and most importantly bring tissue and water coz weather very hot.. just went to see my photos today.. overall it is nice.. we took 2hours to select the photos.. top up 1k for extra photos. heartache.. but can only get the soft copy in july..

Hi Lost &amp; New, happy choosing your pictures.

I finished my PS and recently selected my photos. I took about 280 pictures, already very 'heart pain' to have to omit quite a number of photos I like. Either your pockets' going to hurt or you 'sim tiah' for not choosing some photos. Now I'm still thinking of the pictures I've taken out because of budget. =p

Why don't you call your co-ordinator and ask her to arrange a long veil for you to try on? Then you can see the effect for both. I think a long veil would be very nice - very unique but make sure your hubby can lift it up nicely though.. you know men....

anyway, went to do my nails in the afternoon. did a french mani with simple crystals on it. damn, crystals alone already cost me $30 le.

eunice : my mum says cupcakes uses abt twice or more baking powder, and so it leaves a bitter taste. She is more a pastry person, so durian puff, pineapple tastes, lotsa other cny goodies, kueh kueh and stuff.

Remember years ago, I told her that my friends will likely smash my bday cake into my face, she felt 'heart pain' cos outside cake not cheap. Ended up, she baked a cake for me and it was the only cake which she dressed up so nicely. Hehe. Maybe will use the same tact again.

yesterday i saw this lovely CS at centrepoint.. (not lady xiang, but can't remember the shop name).. it's full white lace with pearl beads..was so tempted.. but it's $1000.. faintz

rach, i did my nails at PINC causeway point. i uploaded the nails pic in multiply. super simple one. the small crystal is 1 for $1. the bigger one is 1 for $2.

i been careful the whole day le, scare scarly knock my nails and the crystals came out and den the nail pain colour fades, i will faint.

Just back from JB... And it's been a fruitful weekend. Finalized the details in the wedding album. We'll be able to pick them up next month. Also gotten the softcopies of some of our unselected pics. Even in their original form (without editing) they look gorgeous. Kudos to our bridal studio! Also went to get our wedding inserts done. Just waiting for the printer to send us the draft copy so that they can start printing.
