I think is hard to confrom the things for our AD now as still have going to 2yr maybe be next yr then can confirm the date lor as we have to wait for the tong shu to come out.

Cherinz> u still have time to prepare la. that time when i want to rom only left me 3 month to prepare, so relax n enjoy dont rush through it only once i a life time do it happily la. Dont know anything can ask us we will surely help u.

aiya not mei lah.the mua did a super gd job!i luv the double eye lid effect the mua did as it really opened up my eyes!if not single eyelid like dead dead!haha after the rom i was so reluctant to remove the make-up.

ya a bit grand for rom coz hb wanted a more special rom since the date is further apart fr AD.

hehee..... niko, thanks for your 'advise', maybe i too 'gan cheong' about my big day loh...i want everything to be in good order and nice loh...dun want to choose the wrong venue and outfit..

now i want to re-assure is, is it for me now i got to find a venue first then i will call the JOP that I want and ask him whether he is free for that day and time, if he is then i will fax him the form with all the details for him to sign and acknowledged rite? then after that i will e-file rite? heheehe...sorry hor, i noe for those who has already mentioned or talk before but i want to be very sure loh.... sorry hor...hehee..

What outfit u have in mind, mine is a bad one. Lucky i didnt sign the bridal with them i only took up rom package. hehe at least some gd from them is my mua haha, going to ask her be my mua for AD liao haha

Hi Cherinz,
I have read in other thread that we should set a date first, confirm with the JP before we book a venue. If you wait till you find a venue (and assuming you have a date liao), the JP might be booked already.

I guess so... But in the first place, have you gotten a date for yourself? If yes, then you should inform your JP so that he can block out the date for you. Venue-wise can be changed mah. Wonder whether this rationale sounds logical to you. Otherwise, can i pm you a planning schedule which another user has shared with me in other threads? Don't think i should post it here coz i do not want to circulate the attachment openly without the owner's permission.

If you were to read the schedule in HWB, the proposed order is to confirm date, book venue, then inform JP. But in that thread, most of the btb actually went the other way round i.e. confirm date, inform JP, then confirm venue. I think it is really up to the individual lor. both ways work.

think the advice on fixing venue first is preferred by JPs coz they need to see if they can fit your solemnization into their schedule. for e.g u want him to solemnize u at 10am but he got another one at say.. sentosa at 11am so he need to see where is ur venue b4 commiting esp if it is a popular date

Just wondering, I saw that many of you have written down your AD date. So do you all look at the tongshu too? Can we check for a good date already? Dunno if I'm too kanchiong or not, but I wanna quickly start getting prepared. But my parents and future Mother-in-law like not kanchiong at all! I mean, they sound like they cannot be bothered. hehe... have you all started looking for banquet venues already too????? maybe it's time I started. all i started looking for is BS!

Don have to wait for tong shu, u can go n look for those geomancer with you and ur FH's 8 character and both parents' shen1 xiao4. its usualli in a package and they will give u a few dates, once u confirm a date then they will give you the GDL, an chuang date and timing. hope it helps..

for me,when i decided on my rom date,i went ard seraching for venue n timing.when i decided on the venue n timing,i bked the JP 1st be4 i bked the venue.hope tis helps.

actually need not worry so much unless yr date is a very hot date or u r getting a very high demand JP.hee i actually bked david loh like a yr in advance coz my date is very hot!

1.how to start BS shopping? I'm very scare of those pushy types...
2. Is it really a must to book appointment? can we jus walk in when we pass by to take a look?
3. any idea what are those a bit classy BS that needs the bride to slim down before wearing the WG?
4.I'd like to get ROM package (phtography included). any advice?
5. how early to start looking for wedding dinner venues?

1. just start! just enter any BS u like. that's what i did. I went down to Tanjong Pagar area, immediately there were people who asked me to go in. Usually I don't go in those,coz meaning they're veryyy pushy. hehe.
2. I don't think it's a must. Coz I even went to test the gowns without appt.

I'm still a newbie in this area so can only help you on 2 of ur qns!

Hi ladies,

Me planning for customery in 2007 also. But dun koe the aupicious dates yet. Mother In law told us that tong shu not out yet.
On the other hand, me & my hubby so kan cheong on the banquet venue, heard that got to book at least 1 yr in advance esp on a weekend.

Any website can i refer to to look at the dates?
