Hi, i am also looking at the same budget. Here are some which i have shortlisted 2008 prices:
Copthorne King $738-798 min 20
Holiday Inn Park View $788 min 25 (fully book from Sep - Dec 08 weekends)
Rendezvous $798 min 18- max 24
Furama Riverfront $780 min 20 -55
M hotel $748 Function Rm min 25
Above shld be nett prices already. M hotel has roadshow this Sun 11-4pm you could call up 64216063 and look for Simon. I will be going down on Sun as well.
Hope this info will help u, but u probably need to go down to see ballroom if you are particular on layout,design, themes etc.
Most weekends are already booked for most hotels, so got to be quick. me also still considering, quite hard to choose.Cheers!

Hi ladies...when I booked my wedding banquet with Novotel Clarke Quay...they had a minimum of 20 tables and max of 24...we filled one more reserve table in the end making it 25 tables...

We think we made a good choice as the food is pretty good and it meets our budget for a hotel venue. Might be a nice place to consider. =) Visit the NCQ thread, it is really active! Can get more info there as well...

It is @ $799 per table. Currently fixed @ 23 Dec 2010 but date is flexible with hotel as long as there are slots.

This is a carefully negotiated package that includes a complimentary function room for solemnization and an additional night stay in the hotel instead of one.

I am looking for good food resturants/ hotel with good oriential chinese food price around $600 - $700 / table for around 35 - 40 tables. Any intro? Urgent as actual date is fixed in Sept.

I don't think there are many hotels with that size ballroom and between $600 to $700. But I think some, like furama, amara, riverfront, parkroyal have that size and are in the $700 to $800 range, depending on lunch/dinner, weekday/weekend. Hope this helps.
