HI there,

wat's the rate for installing full height wardrobe? Per foot run?

Understand since it is full height, they charge according to the length of the wardrobe. True?

hi zenie, its true, by per foot run, if its done by almost all contractors, carpenter, ID firms or the several companies which specializes in closets and cabinets..

er.. i'm not sure leh.. mine was done by closet design, total of abt 12.5 ft (but it was L-shaped, so some length was overlapped) at $2946.. so a rough estimate is abt $235 pfr.. maybe others would like to share their pricing here..?

can share how is their service? as in any problems encountered when dealing with them?

by the way is closet design the one providing the carpentry work or do they just do up the design but sub-con out the works to outside contractors?

how are the carpentry works?

hi snowiee, i'm a happy customer of closet design.. below is my experience with them:
1. i brought my floorplan to their showrm in balestier.
2. we discussed on the possible design of the wardrobe i want, based on the questions they ask (like do i have long dresses, do i need a tie rack, etc..)
3. a simple draft sketched on the spot by the designer
4. choose the colour of the interior and exterior finish
5. site survey by one of their workers (they use quite high tech optical measuring instrument to measure the length and space in your room)
6. coordination with my main contractor for the actual day to construct the false walls and the closet itself

in conclusion, i went to their showroom only once, called up my designer several times to confirm the critical dates, met up with the worker once for the measurement and when they construct the false walls and actual closet, i was unable to be there.. instead i went to see after they build everything and it was nicely done..! i am very happy with the quality and service provided by them..

Hi, peeps.
Me also looking for contractors, anyone here bot a resale flat thru ERA? heard they have their own contractors and if u buy house from an ERA agent, they will do it at a subsidised price. So any experience/advice? How much is a good budget to set aside for reno for a 5 room flat? Maybe jus to do up the dining, kitchen and toilet area with walk-in wardrobe? Thanks! btw, if there are cracks on the wall, shd i b concerned? it is a 5 room flat in Senja area and they say it is not structural but still if i buy that place, will it be a recurring prob? how much would it be to fix that up?

hi ding ding,
reading the wonderful comments here abt CD, i signed up with them too. they proposed a 11 ft L-shape design. the lady dealing w us is named H*L**
the thing is initially, we loved her sketch n all was well.
then we asked to come onsite and she said got some problem cos of the air con position. so thank God i had asked my ID to come and she advised what can be done. Then, she was told to make the length slightly shorter cos we din want to open door and have too lil space btwn cupboard n door. she said ok to everythin rushing off saying got another appt.
Then jus a few days ago, she claims she must take away some more space, thus making the closet space even smaller!! argh! and we r paying close to 2.5k for this!
please advice what we can do to salvage the situation.. thanks!

Hi

Just to share, I did my wardrobes in all my 3 rooms for about $5k. It's been about 1.5 yrs already and the wardrobes are still functioning well.

It is 6 panel in 1 rooms, 5 panel in another room and 2 panel in the last room. Panel refers to the no. of doors. The drawers use metal rollers (instead of plastic ones) so that it can last longer.

This is a carpentry shop and is located in Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park. I'm happy with their services so would like recommend them to anyone who is looking for carpenters. You can contact Andrew Chin from Chin Jun Furniture. His hp is 96937283.

We have a bad experience with CR.. ID didn't gave us the drawing on time and work has been delayed till today. Signed up at Expo in Jan. We were rushing to get it done by April. 50% payment has been made yet last min informed us that material has to be changed..??!!
