I find this date v special n in chinese it mean triple "fa"...

Hihi, me too!! I had juz finalized this date with my partner, though many finds that it's an unauspicious date as it falls on the Chinese 7th month. So Rachel & Winter, hv u gals decided on the venue for solemnization yet?

hmm...i cant cfm everything yet untill end feb...

coz my SO now on oversea wrk attachment and oni can cum bck every 1/2 yrly (he'll be back in feb for CNY)so not sure can he be back in Aug...

Alr told him abt the date, he say nid to cfm again with his boss after his coming hm leave...

so keeping my finger crossed...

Haiz... i've changed my date to 11.11.2008 already cos i am unable to get the best timing (3pm - 5pm) at my desired hotel.

Winter, u gonna act fast cos many hotels are fully booked on 08.08.2008. That's my advice to u. =)

I am having my ROM on 080808 also... but planning to make it simple, cause customary will be at least 2 years later. Maybe invite only immediate family and grandparents for lunch at a restaurant.

oh..me? hotels booked, JP booked..oh.. yah.. the gown and suits not yet though.. still comparing prices.. hehe.. and of course weddings rings not yet too, coz i was thinking is still too early to get the bands.. most likely will go and see see look look now and then in Jun/Jul then buy loh..

Both of us had bought the rings cos petrol and gold price had went up... petrol at the pump station had just been adjusted 2 night's back... so the price for the ring will be up soon, it's better to go buy 1st. That's why we will have to secure it at a lower price 1st... furthermore if you do not have the correct ring size, customize will take 3 months as well... better act fast!
