Hi Panda, I've stayed near Karon Beach previously. It's a nice beach with big waves. IN my opinion is quieter. The bad thing is, you cannot swim on that beach. it's often with red flag. on the resort question, i am unable to answer.

Hi Katherine, I too took a coach from Singapore to Penang by Grassland. We chose the super bus where the seats are bigger, can lie almost flat and also watch movie and listen to music. Can check out at their website. www.grassland.com.sg I haven't tried other bus b4 so cannot do comparison...
