We had the same or i should say similar problem, but then my father jumped in and saved the day. Of course it took several days of talking and making to understand,but at the end she finally understood. Sooo i think you have to talk to her more and more until she realize,maybe get her involved...

I guess you are not early, im getting married in Sept. 2014 and already started planing our wedding :)
